We now have two of the new Kenmore front-load washers and dryers on the floor. One is white, one is ginger. They do have a more eye-catching look, eschewing chrome or brushed metal trim for tinted transparent plastic.

In the meantime, Kenmore HE3 and HE5 machines are starting to get liquidated from salesfloors....

I purchased this shovel last winter (December 2008) because one of our old ones had been stolen. What a great replacement!

The D handle is big enough for a gloved hand to easily fit, but with a rubberized grip for extra control. The shaft has a cushioned collar to eliminate the ice-cold shaft freezing your hands. We have a GE over the range Micro wave with night lights and exhaust and had problems from the start had to have 2 new circuit panels put in - do you think this is correct that or fine that they don't fix after having it for less than 3 yrs?Is Is it wporth caling them for am fix

Wife, and I are looking to purchase a new washer/dryer; Maytag Bravos MVWB300WQ, Maytag MHWE300VW, and the LG/Kenmore WM2101HW/40272 are what we are looking into.

That said we live in a condo that is on the 2nd floor with ceramic tiling in the laundry room. Our previous washer was a top loading Fridgidaire which needed re-balancing on a regular basis. Do any of the washers I listed above have an advantage of not vibrating/shaking too much due to the ceramic tiling?

I was also looking at the samsung WF 219ANWthat is going to be $999.00 for B/F. But I was told that the Silver care emits some silver and if you have a septic system the silver kills the baceria needed to to break up the waist in the septic system. Can anybody answer if this is true? Also, is the WF209ANW comparable to the model offered for the $999 special for B/F?
CAn you also tell me what you think about the LG set WM2101HW and DLE2101W compared to The B?F sale on the Samsung 219anw set?

I am not extremely familiar with the "steam" option, but i have heard it is the thing to have- is it worth it to get the Kenmore because of the steam- or does the LG do better at cleaning the clothes. I will be on the third floor but as it is an apt. complex the noise that it may cause below isn't of huge relevance. Also is there any special advantage of a front load as opposed to a top load? As the cost of the two will be about the same I just want to get the best all around dryer for the $$.

Thanks for your online help. You've been very helpful. I'm mucking around with my old(er) Maytag MAV7600 washing machine that I purchased in May 2001. I'm pretty sure the transmission is shot - the tub won't turn and the motor runs fine with the belt disconnected.

My question for you. I've reached the limit of my technical skills. Do I call a repair service? Is it worth it? Do I buy new? If I go new, which make/model would you recommend? Maytag isn't on my favorite list right now - I've had to repair my Maytag dishwasher, dryer and washing machine. :-p

I want to purcahse a flat screen TV. I have a 42 inch space on the wall in the great room. What is the best brand to buy? I imagine the 720 or 1020 makes a difference both price wise and viewing. What would you recommend? I was going to go to another store but read an artice about Sears and how ya'll treat the service men and women who work for you and go to serve our country. Sears will be my store of purchse and it will be in Countryside Mall in Clearwater, FL. If you were getting a TV for your Mom what would you buy? I am retired and rescue animals with the Suncoast Animal League. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats of my own but foster anything that comes my way. This makes my life full and keeps my arms full of love too. I was wondering, if I bought the 48102/88042 set, is it "carry out" only on Black Friday, or can I buy them and have them delivered?

Also, have they been taken off the website because they're in the Black Friday ad? (Is this so they can preserve the stock they have?)
