Well, this is a big subject. There are a lot of options to choose from. I think the first question would be, are you planning to move to a flat panel plasma or LCD? I have a Sony 55" LCD 1080p at home and have really enjoyed it...I find the blacks are really good, picture is very sharp. But I have also looked at Samsung recently and have been very impressed. Also consider what you will, be watching...if sport is the main focus then you will want to also consider a faster processor. 10 years seems to be about the limit on TV technology, and Mitsubishi is a very fine brand, but you will probably see an improvement even from lower end models given the advanced in technology. I would recommend that you visit the store and get up close and compare before making a decision.
