I recently went on Medicare, and purchased AARP United Healthcare Supplemental Insurance.  I chose it, because my late mother had it, and no matter how major her medical problems and expenses, nearly everything was covered with this supplement.  You get a discount on the monthly payement if you let them take it directly from your checking account, and that saves you the responsibility of paying monthly and wasting a stamp.  In addition, you get discounts on eyeglasses, dental and medication if you frequent the places that are in their system.  Earlier this week I called in a refill on a nasal... read full review »

I like your idea about "stretching it out" for the month re Irish Music. Along with piano, I spend a lot of time on music history, theory and knowledge of musical instruments. My kids will, I hope, be enlightened audience members. So far, so good.

Glad you like Vivo in her Irish hat. Yep. 'Tis the season when everybody's Irish. My students are reviewing old Irish ditties and playing new ones. For some reason, I have maxed out on Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ra this year (and maybe for all time). Bet your audiences love to celebrate the holiday with your music.

Thanks for your comments, Glenda! Cats are so individual. I'm sorry for those people who think they're all alike. Part of the joy with any pet is its personal eccentricities and capabilities. And, when, we're blue, we have to get up and feed them. That's been a good thing for me.
How lucky your audiences are! I met a pianist at breakfast a couple of weeks ago who alternates performances of different styles and costumes himself for the occasion -- wears a tuxedo for Gershwin, for example. He's rousing the crowd at the retirement home he plays for every Tuesday.
