Without a model number, I couldn't say. However, I'm assuming those were the GE-made models, which weren't very good. GE really is a range company, with good refrigerators made by Samsung (3-door). They don't do much else terribly well, unfortunately. Sears made an innocent mistake in trusting GE to make microwaves for them, and they were bad products. The current generation of Kenmore microhoods is made by LG and Samsung, two of the biggest and best microwave manufacturers in the world. Whatever quality issues used to exist over a broad swath of Kenmore microhoods are no longer relevant when purchasing a new model.
