1 week after 1 year warranty ran out, called for service on refrigerator (2nd time) and was told repair would be $185.00. I had not yet authorized...went to phone friend for advice, returned to kitchen and repair was done! Less than 5 minutes...$185.00 - I refused to pay as I hadn't authorized. I once purchased only Kenmore products because quality was excellent, they seemed to last forever and when the time to replace came, it was a joy to do business once again.
New home built in 2008...my "kenmore" purchases (fridge, washer/drier) are shot, I'm afraid to call for repairs, have considered...
