I've alway taken care of my skin since I was 13 years old. Always used sunscreen, even tho I have olive complextion, and completly stopped tanning my face and neck when I was in my late 30's. I love to be in the sun, I just protect my face and neck with total block sunscreen and really cute hats and sunglasses. I've been told I do not look my age of 50. I've used several named brand products over the years and can quickly tell within a week how it makes my skin feel. Whether its to tight, or oily or if it really cleans good enough.
