Not meaning to beat a dead horse with a stick, Dave... however.... ALL "sensor" washers, even if they work perfectly for 5 months, then get to problems. I have yet to hear of anyone that has owned a "water sensor controlled" washer, in any make or model, that hasn't been disgusted with it, if not in the 1st week, then within 4 months. Sounds like yours has a defective water level sensor straight from the factory. I opted for the Maytag 3.5 cu. ft. Centennial Model# MVWC400VW. It has NO sensors in it for water levels. There is a dial (rotary) that I set instead. I love this machine! It's roomy enough to fit a Queen size comforter in and wash it wonderfully! It has a 2 speed motor so my small load of lingerie is ever so gently swished around and washed completely. I hope you dont give up on Maytag. Those IEC & HE washers have YET, to be perfected!

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that SearsCares-the customer escalation team that helps out on the site-reached out to you in your original post. Please get in touch with them regarding your washer filling up too high. They are here to help with any sort of appliance issues. Thanks!!
