Greetings from Washington State! I am in the process of purchasing new appliances and I have been impressed by your reviews. I am looking at purchasing the GE induction range and GE profile Microhood that you purchased. I am wondering if you still are happy with both of your purchases and if you would continue to recommend both of them.

Hello from WhiteWhiskerCook!
I have been looking for detailed information the the ge profile induciton range. Next year I will be in the 44th Bake-Off (Pillsbury) and they are using this range for the contest. Excellant information. I will be using the cooktop and have never used induction. My stove now is a radiant heat. I purchased a induction hotplate to test my recipe. Learning to cook on induction takes some practice. You can check out the contestant list by going to bakeoff.com. I am the person from Wooster, Ohio. Question ...Does the 1 to 19 temp adjustment go with every burner? Do you now what temperature they correlate with? 1 is 170 degrees, 2 is ...? Many of us have never cooked on induction. Again thanks for the detailed info.

Thanks so much for that detailed review of the new GE induction range--just what we needed! We're currently trying to decided between this range, the new Samsung induction range ($1800) and the Kenmore (~$3000).
