I recently lost one of my parrots. she escaped and one of my cats pounced on her. The only injury was a small puncture wound but she died of an infection.

Hi. I am new at this kind of stuff. I would be interested in "talking" with other pet people. I have 7 cats, 2 dogs, 3 parrots and several fish tanks.

Pet Parrot pionus
Pionus parrots are wonderful birds. They are quiet (for a parrot). Generally good natured and not overly demanding. My Olivia would push your hand away if she wasn't interested in being touched at that moment. Many species would try to nip at you under those circumstances. She would cuddle sometimes and many times just want to be with you. Unforunately my Olivia died last week due to a cat attack after escaping from me.
