Re the 19.2 volt 5 1/2" trim saw, model 315.115.160, I bought this saw in hopes that it would change my recently adopted opinion of Sears tools of the 21st century. I'm sad to report it did not.
After only two months of occasional DIY use, it failed. Whatever they use today in stead of bearings on the shaft went south resulting in a vibration that only allows about half speed and no power and it is totally useless. Oddly enough, I still have a standard corded Sears circular saw resting permanently in the barn that suffered the same failure. Thanks for nothing, guys. Can you say "Skil"?
