Don't you just love the smell of summer air? I do!

How where is that summer weather we've been waiting for all winter! Oh, this must be Chicago.

It was Military Week in Chicago which means there were a TON of events all over Chicagoland that showed off the important ways that Marines are serving our country and local communities. What was also pretty cool is seeing the Osprey helicopters circling overhead in and around town. Boy, they're loud! How does anyone come back from serving in the military with their hearing intact? hee hee Thanks to all you folks to protect us, whether you're in the Military, Police or Fire. We don't even realize how much you put yourselves at risk everyday for us.

Sending out a special thanks to our friends at Viewpoints and our own IT staff for launching TWO great community sites in such a short time!

But it's our community members that bring these sites to life. Thanks for your continued enthusiasm and recommendations, complaints, ideas and questions!

If you're a former member of the sk-YOU community and seeing these changes for the first time, SURPRISE! There are some new features that we're really excited about including the IDEAS page and BLOGS.

Take a look, share an idea with us, vote on some of the other ideas you see there. We'll send these ideas on a regular basis to our management for consideration. The Ideas page will show which ideas are under consideration and have been implemented.

Our blogs are written by associates who are experts in different areas of our business but want to share their personal stories and thoughts with the community. You can reply to these blogs in the Comments section just below the blog entry.

Oh, last but certainly NOT least... Community members will soon get rewards and more promotions, just for being active members! We want to give back to show that we truly appreciate your feedback and advice! More to come on this very soon!

 

Amazing thoughts streaming into our NEW Ideas page! Our community members are so, so helpful to each other - even when they're recommending against something or giving us constructive criticism.

People really DO care about Sears, and we really appreciate that. It will be great to share some of the new things happening at Sears as a result of the feedback we get on this site. More to come...

Well, what do you think of MySears? I love it, but I'm a little biased.

The look and feel of our new sears.com site was the inspiration behind much of the change on our community site. Makes sense! And, you'll find a fair amount of what we talk about here on the sears.com site, too.

Let's see if we can help other shoppers make some decisions!

I'm so excited to see the new features on this site since we've been planning them for a little while. It's much more fun to actually use these features than just talk about them. I hope everyone else agrees or at least tells us what they'd tweak.

Fall is my absolute favorite season!
