the very same thing happened to me with my dryer just before christmas I was without a dryer for 1 month, it was a total pain in the neck and points lower, I was sent the part and could not even contact the service tech to replace the 4.00 part and was told that if we replaced it ourselves the warranty would be void. I bugged the local store until they contacted him and he called me and replaced the part at 4:30pm on christmas eve, then when the tech finally arrived he told me had only worked 1/2 days for the whole week because they did not have any more service calls scheduled for those days, I was scheduled between 8 am -5 pm like the 10 of Jan so I would have been without a dryer for 6 weeks
