Craftsman Garage Door Opener 1/2 hp Screw Drive, Security+ Anti-Burglary Coding
I bought one of these for my previous house. 7.5 years and didn't have a problem outside of a lightning strike that took out the sensors. I was able to buy new safety sensors and found a >$15 kit to protect the unit from any large surge, including lightning strikes, that was easy to install. I had a 2 car size door and had added panels for insulation. Proper installation of the opener and care and maintenance of the door to include silicone spray lube on the rollers, track, hinges, and screw drive along with proper adjustment of the springs go a long way in making ANY garage door opener...
