If you purchased the set within the last two weeks, you can get it at the store for the retail price, which is the lowest available price for the protection agreements. In about 6 weeks after purchase, you'll get something in the mail offering the protection agreement. The price may be the same, or slightly higher. If you wait until the warranty is about to expire, the protection agreement will cost about 50% more per year, and you'll only have 1, 2, and 3 years to choose from. I'd recommend purchasing as soon as possible, and take advantage of the preventive maintenance checks.
