I miss my rechargeable lawn mower! Years ago, I purchased a Black&Decker battery operated, side-discharge, convertable, mulching walk behind lawn mower. It boasted of a 75 minute cutting period at full mulch on a single charge. There were numerous times that it surpassed 75 min! With my standard lot , it only took me an hour to complete my cutting, and this machine was a real trooper! I had it for four seasons, and only got rid of it because of the degradation of the plastic deck at the rear wheels. Big mistake! And I never needed to service the lead-acid battery! Kmart sells comparable machines, and I recommend the purchase of one! The best part is no gas, no fumes, no odor, and no worries !

The fumes are once again getting ridiculous and I will get another machine for next season ! I'll try to get it at Kmart or Sears. You may not be able to get B&Decker anymore, but there are similar ones just as nice out there - I recommend a rear bagged mulcher !

Nice review! And, it is even nicer to be green! Especially getting that awful gas smell out of the air...I can't stand that. I've got a cordless/rechargeable blower and weed wacker, and thanks to you, I think this may complete my collection for green lawn maintenance.

Okay, you, I've gone through all of your reviews. Sorry it has taken me so long. Time for you to get some more reviews out...in between longer hours :) ...let me know when you do!
