I realize that they are a little more expensive than the sears canyon river brand but have you tried Levi's husky sizes they run bigger in the waist and fit better. My son cannot fit into size 16 in other brands and in the Levi's he wears 10H comfortably and it makes him feel good to not wear a size that is larger than his older brother who is blessed with tall stature and I dont have to worry about getting the jeans altered which equates to more spending on the same pair of pants. Good luck sometimes you can walk into to Sears and find the Levi's at incredibly low prices.

I would try men's clothing then. My nephew is 11 and already has to wear mens clothes. He is tall but a bit husky and boys clothing wasn't cutting it anymore.

This will probably NOT answer your question, but I've noticed that in the waist, a 29H is SMALLER than a regular 29. Weird, huh?

I think a size 12 would be close to a 29 but there should be a size chart??
