When do you start thinking Spring sports?

I start thinking Spring clean-up time around the time the "Rain" forecasts change to "intermittent Showers" or "chance of rain" warnings.

I got this up-side to that there intermittent deal.

Ya fill a bucket half full a water, with some Simple Green soap sitting nearby.

If the intermittent starts up, ya quickly mix the biodegradable soap with some bucket water, soap down the tractor - I got this long-handled brush, and "go for a little drive".

You can chamois it down, after getting the vee-hicle under cover.

It looks so shiny and clean, afterwards!

I can't wait to get the kids out on their bikes, when it gets a bit warmer!

Also, baseball games. I love going to my boy's games, and, also, taking in a few Cubs games in the spring/summer!

If you camp in groups and each campsite plans a dinner, it cuts down on cooking and cleanup. We even run into town for takeout pizza one night (they don't deliver to state parks). Favorite recipe from the ice chest: bags of chicken marinated in oil=vinegar, egg, salt, pepper and poultry seasoning. Pre-boiled potatoes for home fries. A bag of raisins, M&M's and peanuts is excellent instant energy for dayhiking.

Although in my neighborhood the snow has yet to thaw, several of my friends are already talking about Spring races they are going to run and Memorial Day outdoors trips. When do you start thinking about warm weather activities? What kinds of sports do you start to get ready for and what related accessories do you start to purchase/keep your eye on?

We went camping once, when it was "unseasonably cold" and the Propane cookstove could not boil water for coffee!

My husband just got a Coleman Instastart cooking grill for his birthday. We were curious if anyone had good cooking recipes or food traditions to share. We're looking forward to the Spring so we can fire the grill up.
