Looking to get 1) Gas freestanding range,  2) 40"-46" Plasma TV and 3) Tires for my Toyota truck at this F&F.  Questions: Does the stove by itself have to cost more that $399 for the free delivery or can I get the stove and TV delivered since they will be over $1000 total?  2) How can I get the BEST deal on a Plasma TV since some of the on line sale prices right now are very good with the ENDZONE 10% off?  3) Do I buy the tires Sunday 6-9PM and come back later to get them installed?  I live 40 miles from a Sears tire center and the truck needs an alignment too.

Thank you in advance.

This Sunday, October 4th is a "go".

In addition to the fliers, people signed up for eMail news will be getting any last minute additions to the Friends and Family Night sale offerings.

Why is family and friends night only 5:30pm until 9:00pm in the stores, while it is all day on line? That's a disadvantage to we commission people in the stores. Perhaps the next time we shall be able to price match the online all day promo?

I think the online Friends and Family event does not begin online until 6 pm, and goes until the next day, 4 am.

Well, last time Oct 4th, for appliances it was all day online. It was not programmed into our registers until after 5:30pm. It was an inconvience to our loyal customers who came in the store to purchase appliances knowing how we are paid. And to us associates who had to work an 8 or 9hr day with much of it being undersold and by our own employer.

No one warned us about the store opening one-hour early for the Columbus-day holiday extravaganza.

Sears needs to educate their stores on how to ring up discounts!!!  At the last F&F I asked for the advertized additional 10% off Panasonic TVs over 46".  My discounts SHOULD have been $999 - 10% panny discount - 10% by using Sears card - 5% additional F&F VIP or whatever you call it.  Both my regular Sears and my "hometown" Sears insisted the -10% was with a card only and would not give me the additional discount.  I just wanted the advertized 15% off plus the advertized deferred financing but both stores looked at me like I was crazy for asking.  Oh and to add insult to injury Sears jacked up the price of the TV I wanted by $100!

F&F is November 15. Good to see dotcom isn't getting another all day headstart on the stores this time. If the customers remain loyal to local stores they will not have more family and friends out of work. And really, what's more fun, digging up bargains in person or by pushing buttons. This is one sale where Sears really misses the mark. How can Family & Friends be an online event? Wouldn't that be the Total Strangers and Web Surfers Sale?

Maybe I will finally get an advertized deal on a Panasonic TC-P50S1.  Anyone know if they are offering an additional % off Panasonic TVs again?  Last time my local Sears did not know how to stack the discounts so I left empty handed.  I am in no hurry as I just want a 50" 1080p plasma to watch the last season on LOST on and that does not start until 2010.

I believe the eMail mailing lists are "updated" about every two-weeks.

To make sure you'll most likely recieve a VIP night list, with ALL of the deals, you should re-register at your nearest Sears store.

You can also send customer service an email on the Sears.com site, and let them know you would like to receive notice on these kinds of offers.  Here is a link:

I noticed that Sears tends to jack up the price on electronics and appliances during a F&F sale so the % off ends up being much less than advertized.  The last time the TV I wanted was actually MORE during F&F. What is Sears price match policy during F&F events?  Can I price match an item to a different store and still get the VIP savings?

The Sears store prices are supposed to be the SAME price on the day and hour of purchase.

Yes but, the Sears website seems to always be slow in updating prices.  For example the TVs still say "Add to cart to see our price thru 10/31/09" and when I do the price is $50 more than on Saturday.  What is Sears price match policy during F&F events? Can I price match an item to a different store and still get the VIP savings?

Will there be an additional 10% off Panasonic TVs again?

What are the deferred interest options going to be?

What do you mean, "jack up the price?" This is a common claim, but in almost every case, it's merely a misunderstanding. Many people, for reasons I cannot begin to understand, think the F&F sale prices are discounts additional to the sale prices during that day, and then the additional percentage (if any applies) gets applied to the purchase. The sale prices are reduced from the regular price, just like any other sale. The VIP discount for that night is applied to the sale price that is active that night. It seems pretty simple.

Well I am about out of time, if I buy now online can I get a price match on 11/15 if the F&F price is lower?  I have the TV in my Sears cart right now for $1014.99 delivered, but see that BB has the same TV on sale today for $787.99 with Free delivery.  I can get Bing cash back from both sites, so can I just order at Sears online and call for an instant price match plus adjustment of $249.70?  Both stores offer 18 month no interest for putting it on their card.

If you want to do that price match, you have to be at the store during the event. I'm not entirely familiar with the process, if there is one, through sears.com. Maybe one of the moderators could get a dotcom rep to give you more information. Mainly I meant that the prices can't be used as fodder to price match elsewhere.

Here is a link with the onliine price match information.

If you have any questions, after checking out the link, Sears.com Customer Service should be able to help.  The "click to chat" option is quick to use, and the representatvies are quite responsive:

Janell W: Okay I do apologize but I did speak with a supervisor, and because the item on Best Buy is an online item only and its not available at the retail store we can not price match it.

Past examples TC-P50S1 Saturday price $999, Sunday Price $1099 then minus VIP savings!  Current example TC-P50S1 was $999 last week, this week $1049 minus 5% on line savings.  Stop drinking the Sears Koolaid, the public is not fooled by these non-sale sales.
