LockedLowes Hardware - IPO History

There are interesting articles on the web about the social and financial melodrama involved in (Sears tool competitor) Lowes Hardware going public.  They may be at several sites, but the best links that I found today are:

www.thefreelibrary.com/Playing+the+hand+you%27re+dealt:+in+his+memoir,+former+Lowe%27s+CEO...-a0197677397

www.thefreelibrary.com/Lowe%27s+goes+public%3a+Leonard+Herring+recalls+all+the+wheeling+and...-a0199584597

I'll disclose my own interest in these articles.  I was a teenager in the NC town where Lowes Hardware once had it's headquarters and I was acquainted with many people mentioned in the articles.  Of course they were grownups, so I didn't pay much attention to them.

That's WAY too technical for me.

I wonder why the TAGS show up, once in a while, on the posts?

I don't pretend to understand the financial technicalities in the articles, but the social one's are interesting.

In my original post, I cut the links from Firefox, pasted them in Open Office document and then pasted them into the post.  All the Open Office formatting info came in with the paste.  I had to edit it out.

Is that what you meant by the TAGS?  Or am I not condensing the information in the link itself enough?
