Is this a quibble about the terminology "Sears Hardware Store" vs plain old "Sears"?

No quibble :)

There are 106 free standing Sears Hardware Stores. The stores carry the full assortment of Craftsman Tools-Lawn & Garden products and major Appliances along with the typical "Hardware" home solution products like fasteners, plumbing repair parts, ect. The store also serve as a pick-up destination for most items available on Sears.com (FREE Shipping)

Unfortunately there are not any locations in New Mexico (yet). Look for us in the future!

At my sears hardware in vernon CT, We are already starting to see items come in from sears.com.  this also includes items we dont normally see here from tvs to camcorders and more.  The customers find it easier to come to us then to go near the local mall.

That's great news!  Do you know how our customers found out about this option?

I know a little secret about Sears Hardware stores, but Im not telling because then it wouldn't be a secret and I wouldn't have an advantage knowing it.

Secret is, sears hardware stores have no lines.

Thank you for the URL.

In this neck of California, Orchard Supply Hardware stores are used to sell hardware and even have a Brand Central inside of them.

I'd love to visit a Sears Hardware Store someday, though.

I have a Craftsman Common Hardware poster from 1959 - with the Craftsman Royal-Crown logo on it and have been carrying a 1 x 8, jam nut in my pocket for almost... 8 years now, to demonstrate various hardware topics to Customers - including the different between "patina" and rust.
