What should we add to skYOU?

As I was posting some more pictures yesterday, I discovered there is not enough room in the picture gallery to post more. So I will have to delete some to add the more current pictures. I recommend the ability to post a few more pics or maybe some type of link capability so others can enjoy some of the pics we post about our reviews:) Don't know if it can be done, but just a suggestion.

It would also be nice if you could search for people you know are already on the site by their email address in case you don't know their screen name or don't want to page through thousands of users.

I think it would be cool to have all the Sears.com and Kmart.com items up so that you make sure that when you write a review you can link it back to the item.

I also think that it could be useful when you search to be given people in your "networks" first. So if you search "Sarah" you get the Sarahs that live near you or work with you beforehand.

I definitely agree with Birddog on putting the latest post first. I do read them all as everyone's opinion is needed good or bad. There are some great suggestions here, wish i could think of another - and the new area is going to be great!! Thanks

yea nothing like buying one item and getting a recipt long enough to make a shash out of.

Another "green idea" that Kmart and Sears should adopt is smaller receipts that are printed out at the till. The ones that come out of the Kmart tills are huge and much longer than the need to be. A lot of space is wasted as well on this expensive paper. Think about the savings to the company per year if one store uses just 4 less boxes of till paper, now mutiple that amount to the 2800 stores and you will see significant savings not only to the company in dollar amounts, but to the environment as well.

I would suggest putting the discussion statement at the top of the page and then the newest post next and so on and so on. The oldest post would be last. This way one would not have to scroll throught all of the old post to get to the latest post.

Hi Michelina!

I would love the feature on SK-YOU, when we are writing reviews to be able to automatically search for the picture that corresponds with your review product and posts iteself to the review.

As of right now, it seems as if I have to search for the picture and then save it to my computer, and then upload it to the review. Windows Live blogs have a similiar mechanism to what I would lke to see. When you add items under your "Favorite" list, the moment you type in the corresponding information, they automatically search the word internally, and they generate a picture! It would make writing reviews more fun and hassle-free, even though it's fun already =)

I am an avid collector of the "green" bags. I am using them for everything. Especially when my students forget their backpacks and they have a lot to carry home. I was at Sears today so of corse I baught a bag.

One suggestion might be the one IKEA did--which is to charge 5 to 10 cents for each bag. Then use the profits to sell the "green" cloth bags cheaper. Or use the profits for a charity like Willis4play suggested.

Another idea that I'd love as a teacher is to donate cloth bags to local schools for kids without backpacks.

Back in my day, We didnt have any bags. We carried everything with our hands and if we couldnt carry it we wouldnt take it. We were a lot stronger back in my day.

Willis4play brings up a good point. I noticed our local Sears FINALLY got reusable shopping bags about two weeks ago. The only problem? They are all stacked over in the women's department. I bought some shirts the other day and had to trek all the way across the store and back just to get a reusable bag. These bags need to be at every register.

Kmart is the same way. The Jefferson City, MO Kmart has reusable bags -- but they aren't well displayed. The Sedalia, MO store I've seen reusable bags in maybe once?

This is free advertising folks -- get on the bandwagon!

Green is better than red, right? Going green online could be done on a shoestring and even done in stores cheaply too.

Maybe you could put reusable shopping bags by EVERY register and simply train people to ask if they'd like to have one instead of a plastic bag....for a small fee(maybe benefiting cancer. Half of americans will have some form of cancer during their lifetime.)

One could use their imagination and easily find benefits for our Company by exploring the impact of a reusable SEARS/KMART bag. Competitors don't want to see their merchandise leaving in our bags, plus if it's in a customers home its a conversation piece. It could be good for our sales bc it is an add on sale, corporate heavy weights could get yet another write off, etc.. It would be appealing to anyone under the right circumstance and the good PR would be a boost in any quarter.

Just put together some patio furniture and put out some garden items today at our Kmart store in North Dakota. Kind off funny putting it there next to the Xmas clearance when there is 3 feet of snow outside and its frigid cold!! Anyways, just wanted to let the patio and garden shop buyers know that I had many pleasant comments on this years line up of patio furniture and garden accessories already from customers. Martha is on her way out the door (thank god), and her boring designs are being replaced more vibrant and modern loking colors in both the essential home and the new Jacelyn Smith garden furniture line I strolled through Wal-Mart the other day and their designs for this year don't compare well to Kmarts even though they are so cheap lol! I must say I thought I was at Target(modern, chic) for a minute when I looked at the bold colors and designs this year. Also, I noted that the Jacleyn Smith items were much cheaper and seemed to be of better quality than Martha's old designs. Good to see Kmart getting back to its roots. Please let the buyers know to keep up the good work.

Would be nice to have some higher ups (Sears executives) on these forums to answer questions/concerns about the company's direction and help resolve issues that may concern a particular store. This would be something very unique and make stand out them stand out from their competition. Areas could then be addressed nationwide in stores. Let the customer know that Sears and Kmart care about them and making sure they are satisfied with their purchases and how the stores are run.
