Only one store in the area has the hammer "tester".

Boy that thing was FUN!

It's got a high-density head, attached to a square tubular steel post, that leads the hammer blow force to another high-density plastic pad - that's resting on the floor.

When you "test" a hammer, you can hear the impact through-out the tool section and in the warehouse below.

I always made sure the new hammers were attached well to their handles.

I have actually had some hammer heads fly off the handle when I used some really old hammers that the wooden handle had dried up and shrunk inside the head. Wow! that gets some attention!

The key is to have that demo shield set up, during the tool demos.

They THREW OUT the shield during the "first" Clean & Brite warehouse pass.

HD has hammer drills set up as a demo so you can drill a hole in a concrete block. Whee! drill away. Sears should have that too; sell some more hammer drills. provide eye protection. HD does not.

Actually another member posted about my being possibly ADD.

It's not funny to make fun of someone's lack of ability to do math easily.

Somehow I managed to get a Engineering Manufacturing engineering degree from Cal Poly, despite my lack of natural math ability (thank God for calculators).

I like posting.

It's ironic on a board with so many "unhappy" posters, an attempt at humor goes so much "against many people's grain".

It's also a "bad" thing to welcome people who haven't been welcomed to the board, also...

Although my sense of humor may be a tad "unique", this board is not what I would term a standard posting forum, either.

The last thing in the world that all your posts did was **OFFEND** me AdamO.

I grew up in NY City and still live only 50 miles from there. I was just trying in a nice way to "break your chops" for your compulsive posting. People in NY do that to each other. I guess I got carried away and "complained" about it for some moderation. I really meant no harm, so I apologize if your are referring to me. Maybe I have a guilty conscience, and you are complaining about somebody else?

So what I am saying now, is WHY DON"T YOU JUST GIVE IT UP? You want to be funny and do a couple of hundred posts a day? go ahead. Express yourself.

I think this is very funny, except for the fact that maybe your feelings got hurt. that's not funny. I AM SORRY. I even made you a "friend" last week here.

and as the saying goes: would you like a little cheese with that whine? See, its just me being me.
