It may be the same story because I'm sure that a lot of other customers' orders were cancelled, which is what the customer service rep said today when I called. Nothing else was posted by me on any other discussion boards. I do not feel that I was being rude.

While your disappointment is understandable, all retailers reserve the right not to honor erroneous prices. This policy is universal, and if such a policy puts you off shopping at a given retailer, then you will not have any retailers at which you'll be willing to shop.

And, repeatedly posting the same thing all over the Discussions boards will eventually result in being banned for spamming (which may have already happened, as this is a new name attached to the same story). Please be respectful. Just because you were disappointed that you didn't get something you thought was too good to be true (because it was) does not grant license to be rude or to violate the Terms of Service for the site.

If you would like to speak to a senior case escalation representative, send a private message to SearsCares on this site, or e-mail searscares@searshc.com and tell them your story. Continuing with your current strategy, however, will definitely not help your case.

I placed an online order for some laptops that were priced for $92 (3 to be exact). I got an e-mail today saying that my order had been cancelled. I had not requested it to be cancelled, so I called the 1-800 customer service number and spoke with two supervisors who gave me two different stories. First, they were out of stock. Then, they said that it was a pricing error, and they were not going to honor the price posted on the website, even though there were at least 5 different items on there priced similar to the product that I had ordered. I was on the phone for over an hour getting the shaft from the sears.com "supervisors" who said they could do nothing about it. This is pretty horrible customer service. They will refer you to the terms of use page on their website which pretty much states they reserve the right to cancel orders in the event of a pricing error, then if you scroll down a little bit, it says that once the order has been placed, it can only be cancelled by the customer. It's not the consumer's fault if someone posted the wrong price on an item.

I buy the warranty as Sears has excellent service and If you buy big items as such as a Plasma TV as if it goes out it is COSTLY! Some warranty price are actullay negotiable too, if you want to haggle to save some cash!

If they're a single parent, I'd say it's even _more_ important that they not waste their money with warranties. Put the money in the bank, buy reliable products to begin with, and use a credit card that doubles the warranty - far smarter in the long run (and the short run too.)

Your dramatic examples aren't helping your argument. Take the emotion out of it and tell us why anyone should buy a 3-year warranty when a credit card will cover the second year of the warranty for free already, and product failure rates for good products is at an all-time low.

I think you're being just a -bit- dramatic. A $400 used refrigerator is a simple choice for anyone if theirs breaks.

I currently own a 60GB PS3 and I bought it when the consule first came out! Yea I'm one of the unfortunate ones that did't see a 120GB for $299.99 coming so I paid $599.99!!! But the consule works great and the PS3 images on my Sony HDTV LCD is great! If you want graphics, Blu-Ray and quality then I highly recommend Playstation 3!

well if your monitor has component or composite input, that would be Ideal, do you have HDMI on your monitor?

Other wise you can just get a VGA to composite convertor for about 10$ at frys or another electronic retailer, maybe even on this website idk.

LOL OBVIOUS TROLL

Blue ray is the next wave of movie techonology, eventually DVDs will be phased on like VHS and blue ray will onyl be there. Ps3 and xbox 360 have exact same games, except for halo and like one other excluvsive.

You complain about overheating but fail to mention the 1.6 MILLION consoles repaired for 3 red lights alone on xbox.

ps3 has way more processing power so it loads faster, saves quicker.

ps3s have free internet connection which for casual gamers, who want to go online occassionaly to maybe check the internet, or play against your friend, you would be stuck paying 10.99 a month for a recurring subscription that you have to call in and cancel.

I can go on and on all day about how much better ps3 is than 360, and Yes i do own both.

Xbox 360 is much better!

ps3 is better graphics wise however they do not know how to incorporate it into the games.

meaning, the graphics of games look great but gameplay physics and control smoothness are severely flawed.

also, the newer slimmer ps3 is much more prone to overheating and terminal damage because all of the slimming down was in main cooling components such as smaller heatsinks and cooling fans.

in comparison, they both cost the same, and they both have the same memory.

ps3 has better graphics but poor gameplay and controls and most games are just shooting games or rpgs.

xbox 360 has more game genres such as shooting, role playing, sports and more importantly, children and user friendly oriented games.

the playstation 3's main feature is blueray however it is quite irrelevant in a sense that it only really shows on $2,000 televisions.

xbox 360 has hdmi support like the playstation 3 but looks great even on standard televisions.

all in all, i would say that xbox 360 is a better game console

but playstation 3 is more for home theater, but if that's what you where looking for, then just buy a nice tv and save yourself $300.
