Kenmore model 790. Electric Range Oven temp. off 100 deg. at top shelf when set at 350 deg.F. Adj. offset from -10 to +35 and now reaches setpoint at about 340 deg. F Any ideas?

Thank you for your answer. I have since gathered info. that leads me to believe that only a white appliance will work since my others are white. (and we like the lights on) Anyway, your answer helped confirm.

Biscuit is darker than white,it is in between white and almond.Biscuit appliances (and china fixtures) will not match white ones precisely.Its not too far off though,might get away with it in a dark room.

only change the E.R.C. if the UIB is part of the control, If the key pad is a seperate part you will still get the error code, with no model number listed all you will get is a incomplete guess to the problem.

The "F11" fault code indicates a Shorted Keypad. Disconnect power to the range, For 10-20 minutes and reapply power. If "F11" returns upon power-up, replace the Electronic Oven Control (EOC).

Off the top of my head,i would suspect the computer board needs to be replaced.However,let me be clear,(to quote a buddy of mine),I would not order this expensive part without having the opportunity to examine the unit.

The range does not work - all burner controls display 56. The main display, to the right of the clock, displays 5A6. If you hold down the STOP button for longer than about 30 sec it display error F11. Any suggestions to problem??

A little paranoid to say the very least. I suppose they include aliens to reek havoc on the food we are preparing and storing. This response is a little crazy and over the top.

This same thing happened to our $2,600 GE refrigerator from Sears just after the warranty expired. No frige for a month was no fun at all plus the loss of all our food too. The repair techs are a pain to deal with and have told me to expect the computer board to go out again in another 2-3 years. These are not made to last. My vote is to avoid anything with computer boards or chips altogether, but good luck finding anything made the old fashioned and long lasting way! Everything is cheaply made so they can suck the $ from our pockets! It is soo frustrating! Sometimes I wonder if they have programmed our appliances to go out on purpose!

Just got the stove installed this weekend. Looks and cooks great in my kitchen (stovetop only I have not used the oven yet). I read in a customer review that a gift package of accessories would be coming. My salesman confirmed this. How do I go about getting the package??

I love my oven because I can cook small things and Large things and not have to heat up the whole kitchen it is so GOOD. Plus it is gas. Cant bet better than this.

I have been trying for almost an hour to send this post, with no luck. I am sending it this time from another PC.

Sears replaced the range because they could not figure out how to replace the part they had sent to me.

The new range uses the same identical parts as the original range.

the original range worked fine for over a year before the problem appeared, so something failed, maybe there was some metal fatigue.

Please let me know how your repair turns out and also tell me which model range did you actually buy 5 months ago?

HI BOB, WE SEEM TO BE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH OUR NEW (5 MONTHS OLD). A SEARS TECH IS SCHEDULED TO COME OUT LATER THIS MONTH. I WAS DOING SOME ONLINE RESEARCH TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND CAME ACROSS YOUR REVIEW. I WONDER HOW THINGS TURNED OUT. DID REPLACING THE PART FIXED THE PROBLEM OR DID YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE RANGE. JANET
