Hi In your Craftsman Club Advertisement for the month of October 2009 was a project called SLIDING-DOOR CUPBOARD. I could not find a place to down load this project plan. Would help me so I can down load it. In the advertisement you said it was free to download for Craftsman Members, which I am. If you want my number I will let you know if you will keep it a SECRET. Please let me know.

Thank you for your help,.

Frozen Chuck on 3/8 in. Drill

If you can open the chuck enough to get an allen wrench or a screwdriver into the chuck, you can remove the chuck and replace it. I don't remember the process offhand, but I know it involves putting the drill in a vise, putting the allen wrench into the chuck, hitting the allen wrench with a hammer clockwise to loosen the screw...from there, I don't remember.

In the meantime, what's frozen it? Is it debris? Have you tried WD-40?

Gasoline Air Compressor for Auto Body Work

Make sure to use a drier water/air separator with a piston ran oiled compressor or you will have alot of problems. This is common with all oiled compressors..beware of the craftsman water trap that Sears sells though..it only traps about 20% of the water..I sandblast out of my home as I am A retired paint contractor in the field 37 years... I have had to take 2 of thjem back within a week over this. I use the disposable air/water separators that I get from an auto body supply place..they screw right into the tools themself and then the hose..I just don't have faith in the craftsman water traps no more. The V twin Is a great air compressor..but all oiled compressors let some oil blowby..this is common...Oiless ones won't hold up to the stress of continious ran air tools...I have destroyed 3 craftsman oiless compressors running my small sandblaster just within A year..I switched over ..to believe it or not A campbell hausfeld 80 gallon tank with A 6.5 hp motor that I have had no problem at all with...Also beware the way craftsman rates thier horsepower on thier compressors..this is not true HP but start up horsepower only..and regarding the cfm..Craftsman is now rating thier compressors at scfm which is totally different that actual cfm..scfm is rated at certain ambient temperature, which will be different from all suppliers. Also remeber on elctric ones ..110 volt wiring is not capable of producing more than 2 HP..You will see 110 units rated at 3 to 5 HP when this is start up Hp only..110 can't produce that much HP but only at start up...My campbell Hausfeld compressor has outdone the craftsman ones now by far..

Thanks for the replies guys. I found my owners manual and guess what? Adjusting the settings as described in the manual does not work. I set the up and down travel limits as instructed and ran the force adjustment procedure as indicated. What is happpening is the door will close all the way down and then it reverses. There is nothing blocking the sensors and all adjustments are done as indicated by the instructions. When the door reverses and reaches the top the lights blink 10 times. I referred to the troubleshooting area and there is no diagnostic explanation for 10 blinks of the light. I have to assume that this must be an indicator for a serviceman. Is there a sensor or board that deals with this area? Have I bought a lemon?

The $50 ECERT (e-mail certificate) sent to me has an invalid coupon code so now I have to go to a store to prove it. It has an obvious invalid code that did not work for an on-line purchase I tried yesterday and the Craftsman Club Reward group can not verify the code they sent me and they do not have e-mail for me to send a copy of the certificate back.

I requested my remaining $10 ECERT reward (based on my prior purchases) back on 10/11/2009 and I still have not received it after being told at different times that it would be "2 days", then "14 days", then "it was sent but they would send another within the hour", and now "it wasn't sent and the back office will review the cause over the next few days".

I didn't mention excellent telephone or computer networking, did I.

A joke...

It's a mighty big organization to keep lock stepped "perfectly" in place.

However, I have not failed to recognize Customer satisfaction being a prime motivator of just about all the various Sears organizations.

If the tremendous strides you refer to are in web site development then I agree, but basic customer service and communication across the company continues to fail and appears to be getting worse.
