How Rewarding Is It?

Craftsman Club Rewards?... I hope you like waiting for your reward.  I received a $50 ECERT coupon code that didn't work on-line and was told by the Club representative to go to a store to verify it doesn't work so they can issue me a new code.  I can't thank them enough for missing the Midnight Madness sale and the opportunity for wasting a store sales rep time and my time this coming week!  Oh.. and I'm still waiting for a $10 ECERT from October 11, 2009.  If you like stories and being lied to, just call the Club member hotline.

I just enjoy buying the Craftsman tools.

I haven't really started using any "rewards" club features, yet.

I enjoy using Craftsman tools, but even "buying" at Sears has been a hassel the last few years.  That's the "love and hate".

The Craftsman Rewards program is not very "rewarding" for me.  If I add up the amount of time spent on the phone with Club representatives, it's not worth the trouble.  The Craftsman Club Rewards program motto should be "Keep in touch because we're out of touch".

Well, to be fair, the Internet is very new to them.

They're making tremendous strides, though.

If the tremendous strides you refer to are in web site development then I agree, but basic customer service and communication across the company continues to fail and appears to be getting worse.

I didn't mention excellent telephone or computer networking, did I.

A joke...

It's a mighty big organization to keep lock stepped "perfectly" in place.

However, I have not failed to recognize Customer satisfaction being a prime motivator of just about all the various Sears organizations.

Hey, LoveandHate-Welcome to MySears! Did you end up getting the $50 gift certificate?  Is the $10 gift certificate for joining or just an offerred promotion?

The $50 ECERT (e-mail certificate) sent to me has an invalid coupon code so now I have to go to a store to prove it.  It has an obvious invalid code that did not work for an on-line purchase I tried yesterday and the Craftsman Club Reward group can not verify the code they sent me and they do not have e-mail for me to send a copy of the certificate back.

I requested my remaining $10 ECERT reward (based on my prior purchases) back on 10/11/2009 and I still have not received it after being told at different times that it would be "2 days", then "14 days", then "it was sent but they would send another within the hour", and now "it wasn't sent and the back office will review the cause over the next few days".

The Sears Cares group successfully resolved my issue with the ECERT rewards.  Thank You David V. and Tammy W. for restoring my faith in Sears.  Sorry I must go now... I have a Sears sales event to attend. :-)
