LockedElliptical repair service - How good is the MPA? Not too good!!

Okay, I have the MPA on an elliptical.  A service repairman was supposed to come and repair on 5-12-09.  The appt was made on 5-7-09.  I confirmed the appt on 5-11-09.  I made sure that someone was going to be here on 5-12-09.  Someone from Sears called and left a message that the appt had been canceled at 8:00 a.m. on 5-12-09.  So, someone stayed home for no reason all day, because they did not know there was a cancellation message.  So, when I called back this evening, the next appt is scheduled a week later on 5-19-09.  The elliptical is used regularly at my house and we need it repaired!! What is the point of paying $100 for extended warranty if no one is comes to fix it promptly??  When I asked the customer service guy for his supervisor he told me that no supervisors were available.  He said they were all in meetings.  I asked him if in the big world of Sears was there not one supervisor that I could speak to??  He asked me if this was an emergency, if the elliptical was on fire?  What a smart aleck!!  Anyway, what is the point of paying for the high priced extended warranty if no one if going to come and fix it soon?  How do I know that anyone will even come next Tuesday? Why should I have to wait another week?  What if they call and cancel again?  Are there no supervisors available to talk with customers?  Why was the appt canceled today anyway?  Is this the best that Sears can do for their customers?  He said a supervisor would call me back within 24 hours.  I am sure they will call while I am at work.  How convenient!!  I would like to forward this message to the president of Sears.
