LockedMissoula Sears warranty service

I can't testify to other Sears stores across country but I have to vent here about the Missoula store. Last year I took my Craftsman lawn mower in for warranty service. It was a nightmare, It took more than three months to get it returned and only after I threatened court action.

Right now I have a plasma TV in for repairs on a $600 extended warranty. I called to have it repaired six weeks ago. After more than a few calls their contract service finally came out and then took it to the shop two weeks after the initial call. They still can't tell me when it will be ready.

I know things take time but these episodes are too much.

Calling Sears Corporate has been no help as Sears doesn't seem to give anyone authority to solve problems or even really help you. They just seem to read off scripts and then transfer you to someone else.

It's just frustrating.

I can comment on the Plasma TV and I'll agree that Sears Service is terribly slow. NOW NOTE THIS....  Sears DOES everything IN OUR POWER to get you products quickly. Technicans are a rare breed these days so Sears usually stretches the few good ones very thin.

Now under the service contract after waiting for quite some time... they WILL get ur product fixed or replaced. Making the $600 a very good investment because of how much money u'd save on parts... its just an investment you wait on.
