My wife and I noted that the first episode of the season didn't seem to acknowledge the appliances.  In fact, there was almost no mention of Sears - I don't recall any ads, either.

Is Sears still backing the show?  I remember an episode last season - or the season prior - that made a point to show off the non-Kenmore appliances.

Interesting...

Yep , a most recent show on TV rebuilt a church and donated all SST Kenmore Pro Kitchen appliances along with $25K for the food pantry of the church. nice!

SHC Marketing Ad Exec Folks - some free advice:

There are many ways to use your advertising budget to promoted your wares and name such as Kenmore/Craftsman / Diehard & Land Ends to name a few house brands within SHC...

Im sure Brett Favre got a free HD TV with the recent TV sales promo he got paid for...the outakes were great....although the ad has run its lifespan.

Its all about name recognition.. Home Depot does same thing

with the Habitat for Humanity Program based in Atlanta so is HD, go figure....

SHC is doing more promotional tv ads for Sears than K-Mart these days. makes yah wonder why?

Here are a few SHC may want to try:

A fully sponsored Sears CRAFTSMAN/DIEHARD NASCAR Racecar on the circuit would do wonders..The METLIFE & Goodyear BLIMPS  are doing well....

How about a SEARS BLIMP at major sporting events?

Sponsoring a sports TEAM should also be considered. They could co-partner with Whirlpool who has close business ties with SHC....

A Golf Tournament- the ladies PGA Tour needs more sponsors and women still do select most of the appliances in U.S. homes. hmm, Lands End Golfwear ?

How about some on the field billboards in major sports stadiums such as Baseball, Football, Soccer, Tennis?

Food for thought.....

jjust get some fosforescent foam and write DO you have a sears card? Sears card holders earn cash back and extra financing offers and other incentives when buyign sears products. Get one today

In giant green letters just floating in space so that everyone can see it at night

I'm pretty sure that would be bad for the enviroment , that foam could come down and blind birds while they are flying

It gives Sears A GOOD IMAGE TO BE CHARITABLE. That show is practically  an hour long Sears ad! I'd say money well spent there.

Its not being charitable if you expect to make money out of it.

I agree, but why is someone complaining about being charitable? Many people think corporations are evil, greedy, and have special interest groups pushing the right to let them keep their massive profits. But this guy giving back is wrong. As a shareholder, he should want Sears to give back, because it shows Sears in a good light, which helps people's opinion of Sears.

I think customers want ot be treated equally like we have here in america.

Why does one family get a hand out while the next gets the run around on their delivery fee. not very american if you ask me

sounds more like communism

One thing about business guys is that we have to spend money to make money. The money we spend on payroll, remodels, and rent is something tangible that you can see. Friendly sales staff, buildings open for business and clean.

But what drives the business itself is a combination of things. Advertising plays a major role in getting those customers in to make those sales. Commercials and sales circulars encompass only one facet of that. The IT team has set up websites, established pages on social networks, and  generated hits from our partnering websites.

Then there's us we are walking billboards for the brands. How many companies have an established website where we can learn and grow from each other's experiences? Where there is an open forum to voice both your joys and pains and be recognized with member only savings and featured profiles?

Just a thought guys...... Thanks for listening!
