I thought I had DVR'd The River but something went wrong and it didn't record. I saw the trailers for it earlier that day and it looked pretty scary. I'll have to see if I can find it on Hulu.

It is difficult to relate with the TV sometimes. Other times I can find something I enjoy, or can at least stand to watch. Pay TV can be even more frustrating. Imagine paying for TV and not being able to find anything you like on it. TV has gotten pretty lousy over the past few years. They have reruns more often than ever.

With Facebook, E-Mail, SearsCommunity and another site to keep up with, I don't have time to watch tv. Seriously, so many shows are so far out in left field,(or worse) that I seldom watch tv anymore. I prefer to listen to the radio. It isn't as distractiing while I read or work.

Looking for a new T.V

I say that smaller flat screens are more useful in limited spacing. Often people try to put the biggest flat screen they can find in their home in a small space and it ends up being more of an obstacle than an enjoyment. If you're looking for more ways to use diverse tv sizes, I say put a medium, maybe 20" flatscreen in your living room in a bookshelf or somewhere that it will be in the wall, to reduce excess chords, etc. For a larger tv for football weekends, etc., perhaps invest in a larger one for the basement or a game room where the space isn't limited.

I'm typically not a football fan but I do get caught up in the excitement from time to time. A few weeks back I went to the first Navy game of the season and that was a good time. I didn't think I'd be into tailgating but it was lots of fun. Of course I just waltzed into the party and didn't have to lift a finger so that was a plus LOL. It's still too warm here for me to get into football. That game was HOT and took forever since it was on TV. That said, I'm sure I'll be back there again later in the season for another game.

Geaux Saints! I'm not so sure about that CarlaJames! I know my Tide can handle your Tigers. Really dissapointed in the defensive play for the Packers and the Saints. It was a good game, but we really have to step up our defense if we plan on going far this year. And the reason why they keep switching both of our teams from two to three is based off of the team that we beat that week. You guys were put at number two because you played Oregon and we played Kent State. Then last week we played a better opponent so we got switched back. I wouldn't really put a lot of stock in the rankings until they start putting out the BCS polls.

Also, I went to see LSU/NSU game Saturday...no contest! Why do coaches think Alabama should be #2 instead of LSU! We're going to whip them this year ...hands down!!!

Granpa61 typically I just cannot root for any Michigan sports but this past weekend was indeed a good sports weekend for all Michigan sports. I hope the Lions put up a fight this season. It would be exciting to watch.

I was happy to see the Patriots go 1-0 last night. Brady was on fire but overall not the best game as well allowed to many points for Miami to score. Ochocinco was not even on the field. What's up with that? I wish I took Welker for my fantasy team!

Well I guess this was a surprising weekend for sports here in Michigan. The Detroit Lions were able to win their season opener (on the road, no less!). Michigan had that exciting finish against Notre Dame and Michigan State also won.

As far as the Lions go..one game doesn't make a season and they have a ways to go, but it sure was refreshing.

Well for an Iowa State fan that also loves the Packers, it was a great weekend. Both games were nailbiters, but it was a great time and a great outcome for both. Steele Jantz is going to be a hell of a quarterback if he continues to play like he did Saturday.

Interesting football weekend. Ohio State barely beat Toledo. The ending to the Michigan/Notre Dame game was a great one. Something I didn't expect though was the Bengals beating the Browns. That had to be my favorite game....lol.....

TriCoRob said…

Billfish said…

The Colts without Peyton are definitely in trouble, though picking up Kerry Collins was a wise move and might keep them on the fringe of viability.

Why do so many think so much of Kerry Collins? I'm a Titans' fan and we had Collins for several seasons. Aside from one great season - which was mainly the defense and running game, moreso than Collins - he has stunk.

Collins is a statue that will either get sacked multiple times, miss his receivers or throw the ball away on 3rd down. That's all he ever did for the Titans after that one season...

He stinks.

I just wanted to reiterate this... No Peyton, No Win. Colts are showing their true colors, if you ask me.
