Agreed 100%. But do you really think a sub .500 should be hosting a game?? What if they had gotten on a roll and won the super bowl with say an 11-9 record?. To me it was kinda like LSu in the chamionship game a few years ago with 2 losses, while there was an undefeated team that didn't make it to the BCS. Or how about the year Nebraska did not play in the Big 12 championsip game and played for the national championship--like Alabama is this year

I'm taking a break from football to talk baseball.

Barry Larkin, former Cincinnati Red (also from Cincinnati), is the only player this year voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Since I'm close to his age, I was able to follow his entire career in Cincinnati. (1986-2004) That isn't a typo.....lol.....

I think it will be New England and Green Bay. But I bet the commissioner is pulling for the Broncos to win it all. They keep saying they are looking balance (dont think that is the word they used) across the league. After all thats why they keep allowing teams with .500 or worse (Seattle last year) get into the playoffs while teams that are 10-6 sit at home or go on the road (Pittsburgh) to play at the home field of a .500 team (Denver) or Seattle last year (a team with a losing record should never be playing at home)

About the Bengals, I was certain they weren't going to win long before that game was over. They didn't deserve it. (my personal opinion, of course) As for the Patriots, I expect them to have no problems with Denver.

Since the Steelers lost yesterday, I wasn't so upset over the Bengals and Lions not making it......... Watching Denver win was priceless!!!

It was a good game! Would have been nice to see the Lions advance just one more round, but oh well. Just glad it was the Saints that beam them and the Steelers are out.

I'm sure glad I'm not A Betting Man.Talk about Losing Your Butt.Never participated in sports or paid much attention.As I got older tough I started following the Bengals and getting a Kick out of listening to Marty Breneman and Joe Knuxhall on Reds Radio WLW while having quite a few Beers.Joe was my hero what a Fine American and Athelite He needs to be in the Hall Of Fame!!!!!

T.J. Yates is the Houston QB Cincybeth.

Tough call in that game, I want to see the Bengals succeed after casting off Owens, Ochocinco, and Palmer. They deserve it, their fans deserve it! But - Foster and Tate are the best back tandem in football, and that's where the Bengals will have issues.

I hate Brees, which puts me in the minority. I'm an NFC North fan, so would love to see Detroit go in there and upset the Saints. Both teams can put up numbers, it's going to come down to turnovers and special teams.

bconner. It's fitting that you were the first to respond since we watch the same sports reports and listen to the same talk shows on the radio. I was happy to hear that Dalton has played in Reliant Stadium before. (I hope I got that right). I believe the QB for Houston is a rookie too.

Andy Dalton is from Houston TX. He's played in that Stadium 3 times all wins in high school championship games I believe .Blow them away Red Rifle!!! the Lionns will prevail.

I'm a little bias about today's games. Since I'm from Cincinnati and only a few hours from Detroit, I naturally WANT the Bengals and Lions to win. Waiting for the Bengals game to start is making this a very long day.

Thats as bad as here in Texas. In high school football, they take 4 teams out of each district. So we ended up having two teams from a local district get in the playoffs with, get this, 2-8 records. They played the first place teams from other districts and, well I dont have to tell you the results. I'll just say they werent very pretty

Thank you!!!!!!!!. I dont understand why division 2 and three can have playoffs and the chamionship game is before Christmas, but D-1 cant do it. And as to the other posters comment about OSU beating Iowa making a difference, I still say no way. I think what they need to do is NOT ALLOW a coach to vote if his team is in the mix!!!! I saw that one vote did make a difference. That was probalby Saban's Also what I was really wishing for was UCLA to pull the upset and have a 7-6 team playing in the Rose bowl. May have been the only bowl game with a negative TV rating, but would have been hilarious, I think. BTW how in the he#$% does UCLA get in a bowl game with a LOSING record??????????????
