From what little you relate regarding your problem my first guess would be the reciever / logic board would be the cause of your problem. As the name implies, this board has the reciever for both the remotes and the remote keypad. If you would supply the model number of the opener we could help you find the part number and assist in replaceing it.

Is the light on the opener working and check the outlet that the opener is plugged into for power. Does the opener make any kind of noise when you try to operate it? If so check the track release mechanism that disconnect the door from the track. This may sound silly, But does the remote have a fresh battery. Try the second remote also.

I've bought 2 new 3/4hp belt drive garage door openers (Craftsman) and when I started programing the travel of the new door the the door opens to the trolley stop bolt no matter how many times it is stopped with the black button. Now it stops on the lowering position after about 8" of travel. The instructions say:"RPM Sensor may be the problem" What's a RPM Sensor and where is it located? Then it says to replace logic board? No instructions. No diagnostic code. It flashes 13 times. Should I just pack this opener up and return to the store? There are no contact phone numbers anywhere.

I have a garage door opener that is about 15 years old and needs to be replaced. The owner's manual lists it as a Craftsman model no. 139.53535SRT1 or 139.53644SRT or 139.53647SRT1. Not sure to know which model it is for sure, although my guess would be the cheapest one, and what would be a model number of the newer version of it (so replacing it would be the easiest by maybe using the old working parts). Any ideas?

Since 1993 all residential garage door openers are required to have safety sensors. As far as things that will open your door magically. There are remotes, wireless keypads, biometric keypads (the fingerprint thing,) Homelink (the remote built into your car, switch keys (a key you can turn that will trip the garage door opener,) the wall button that is wired into your garage door opener mounted inside your garage, wireless wall buttons, clicking your heals three times (but this only works if you are pressing a remote at the same time.) I'm sure there are more.
