I purchased a Craftsman Socket Organizer (essentially three plastic plates with holes. Holes accept plastic pins that hold various sized sockets) for my Craftsman tool chest. Price was expensive at $26 dollars. I needed more pins in two sizes. I ordered what I thought was a bag of each size for $5.00 and another $7 in shipping. I received one pin each. Although in a different numbered bag, they were the same size. Although Customer Service indicated 20 came in a bag, I got two for $5. They probably cost $.04 a piece to make. Price if purchased separtely are $2.50 a piece. Customer Service was unhelpful. I generally like Craftsman products. This is a good one too. However, woefully overpriced. Avoid it or find an alternative until they lower the price. Hopefully they will post this.

We're talking home workshop here, right?

Because the store workshop looks more like an extremely "empty" office, with a perfectly clean workbench top and anything inside the area properly service tagged and "dusted" for possible inspection.

A regular workshop is "allowed" some personalization and having tools and supplies within easy reach.

And, maybe a project or two spread out on the workbench...

"What are those 'tools' doing on the workbench!"

Umm... Those are ratchets sir. I rebuild them. To save the company money. This store has been the Golden Ratchet award area winner for 3 years in a row.

"That's nice. Get RID of them!"

I'm ON IT!

Garages can get pretty cluttered especially if you use them for storing a wide range of things (lawn and garden supplies, tools, ordinary household items, sports equipment, etc.).

Staying organized can make life easier and can be done with simple things like shelving, hooks, storage boxes, racks.

I have the thick bumpy mats, that no only grip drawer and tools well, but are supposed to be able to prevent moisture build up on any tools placed on them.

I HATE rust...

The thinner Rubbermaid shelf liners DO bunch up, just as your brother-in-law fears.

So, getting a storage unit matt would be the way to go.

They're sold in either rolls (for wide storage units) or in pre-cut sheets for standard 26 inch storage units.

There's a choice of three pattern mats, and either black or black in color.

When they closed down our local Sears Parts & Repair Center about 4 years ago we acquired all the store shelving and displays. Our entire garage is lined with the shelves to keep us organized. Works very, very well.
