Rotisserie for Kenmore Gas Grill

I also have a Kenmore LP Gas Grill model # 148.16137110 and so far love the grill. I went to my local Sears store and found the Char Broil Premium Electric Rotisserie, Universal Fit for sale there. I took the parts out of the box and sized them up on the same model grill right there in the store. This rotisserie fits perfectly. There are even stainless steel brackets in the box that match the grill's finish. The UPC code from the receipt is 047362847225, Model on the box is 4722, however I believe the entire model number is 4984722. The only thing i don't like about this rotisserie is the motor which seems small and lightweight, and there are no counterweights included with this kit.

Hi Richardz, I verified all available websites offered through Sears and can't locate any Rotisserie kits for this model. I honestly don't know if we just dont make them anymore or they have been discontinued for the season and they are no longer in production till next year. However, I was able to locate a website that might help on selling you a aftermarket kit and have listed it below. Hope this helps and have a great evening! :)

Can anyone suggest a rotisserie kit for a Kenmore LP Gas Grill model # 148.16137110. This is the model # from the label inside the grill's cabinet. The owner's manual shows model # S3218AR. Called Sears and no one in parts or accessories can find a kit. Their only suggestion is to measure the grill box and buy a 3rd party kit.

A consumer review magazine listed the Kenmore 16641 as a very good choice for a medium size gas grill. This grill has a side burner and coated cast-iron grates with good performance! It has room for 16-30 burgers and the price seams reasonable. Happy eating!

shopping for a grill.

my $99 char-broil has gone kaput. too many 'cold spots,' and then too many hot spots. i bought a new burner plate and the meat all ended up grayish in color.

also bought some briquettes, but they merely kept the flame so snuffed that it didn't cook the food. checking out the kenmore. i know it's a sear's site, but would appreciate help w/ compare /contrast.

Hi Vintage, there is a leak shutoff in the regulator on the hose that may have tripped. Try shutting off the burners, shut off the tank and disconnect it , open and close each burner then reconnect the tank. Turn on the tank and light the burner furthest away.

With pork, low and slow is the best way to cook. For a smokey flavor, you can always wrap up some wood chips in foil, poke holes in it, and let the flavor soak into the meat. I haven't yet made pizza on the grill, but that is on the upcoming docket. I just need to find the right pizza stone for grilling. I know we sell one at the store, but I don't know if that would be my best choice...

JulieK, the pizza idea sounds D-lishus! I will have to keep that in mind.

Two years ago I purchased a new multi-burner grill, It is much easier to control the heat than the old style. This particular model is the pits to clean due to its construction. Next time I will know what to look for. Other than the usual burgers and, (due to high prices) the occasional steak, chicken, veggies in summer, I guess the most difficult thing that I have cooked was a pork shoulder. It's not too difficult, but you have to keep a close eye on it. I found the best way is to set up the grill under a shadetree, put the pork on and set down close by with a cooler full of ice and beer and enjoy the experience!

We make our pizzas on the grill in the summer. SO good. We either make our own dough, or pre-made and we just roll out. It gets nice and crispy on the bottom, and the everything cooks perfectly.

I have used my LP gas grill to cook just about everything under the sun. It has been used as both a grill and smoker. Through winter it rests on the deck and is only used about once a week, but during summer it replaces the stove. I am posting to see if anybody has done something crazy or out of the ordinary with their grill that I could use this spring/summer with mine. If you share a recipe or idea, I will try my best to share one back!

Infrared Searing Burner

If you're cooking steaks, preheat the burner for a couple minutes, set the steaks on the searing burner for 30 seconds, rotate to create hashmarks and let them sit for another 30 seconds, then turn the steaks over and give them one more minute to sear the other side. Then, move the steaks over to the regular burners to complete cooking. No flipping necessary to finish cooking. Just cook on one side (preferably cooking on the same side that was last on the searing burner, to preserve the nice grill marks on top). Give it about 5 minutes for medium.
