Excessive heat warnings!

I don't like getting sweat. I just stay inside our house until the sun comes down. Thanks to Central Airconditioner! :) I suggest you check sears.com for new Airconditoners. Maybe it's time for us to change our old ac's. Sears is also offering Heat and Cooling System as part of Home Improvement. Great news! cos it free estimate and of no obligation to you! C:

It was a rough day, cincybeth, but the kids don't seem to mind it so much. They were a little worn out by the 2nd game, though.

This next week is supposed to get super hot here in the Midwest. I have a coupon or 2 for our local movie theater. I think we will be going there at least once next week.

My oldest is in a baseball tournament on Sunday. Right at 3. I hope we are at least in some shade!

I just mowed my father's lawn this morning and all I got was a grin and wave when I noticed him at the window.........lol........ he did however allow me to come in for a break or two.

I spent an hour on the riding mower with the wife and kid handing me water every other lap or so! Aside from that I was inside in the A/C!

Here it was not only excessively hot, we had air quality warnings also.

Walked about two hundred feet to get the paper at 7:00 am, it was comfortable. By 11:30 it was a whole different story! Bubba didn't even want to play. He would drop his ball, flop down on the ground and just lay there panting. After a couple minutes I would say, Ready to go back in to the house? and he would head for the door.

Inside if you have a/c! Days like that are just too hot to enjoy activity outside. I hate to say it but even going into a shopping center where it is coold is nice. Hope you find a way to stay cool!

Like many areas across the country, we have an excessive heat warning today in Cincinnati. Since it was already very hot by 8 a.m, I decided not to walk today. Aside from swimming, I was just curious as to how others spend their time on days like this?

Be careful with the caffine, and don't overdo it. Some headache remedies contain caffine also.

lightsaber, we haven't done it. It's a lot of $$ and it's not a "have to" but more of a "want to" so their are other things that will be done first. Just kind of a bummer though because it makes enjoying our new table a little less exciting because of the getting in and getting out part!

filmdork, I would agree, caffeine all the way!! We don't have air purifier but with all this talk might consider now.

If it's allergies I just take loratadine. Works well for me. If you don't want to take migraine medicine. Take a tylenol, asprin and drink something with caffine. I usually just take whatever headache medicine with a cup of coffee or coke. The caffine helps A LOT with headaches.

Also, have an air purifier in your home and try not to have your windows open if you have season allergies. The tree/flower/grass pollen will get into your house.

Didn't think of carbon monoxide. We do have a detector lightsaber and yes, thank you for remembering about my car. I still have yet to get it fixed but got the number of a friends mechanic and BigMike4511 I haven't been driving it since the honeymoon. I will definitely let you know what was wrong with it when I finally take it in. As for the headache, I was working with spray glue on Saturday for a good amount of time but I was outside so didn't think that would affect me too much.

Last night from work I went straight to the drug store to pick up Zyrtec (which I have taken before) and Excedrin Migraine (which I don't ever take). So far so good today. We will see. Thanks for caring everybody!!

Good memory Lightsaber. One thing about carbon monoxide poisoning, is that it is cumulative, meaning that with every exposure it builds up in your body and takes a while for your body to recover.

Driving a car with a leaking exhaust, even if you are not traveling too far, on a daily basis will not allow your body to recover.

If the exhaust has not been fixed, today is the day to get the car in the shop. Do not make your new husband a young widower.

Have you had the exhaust system on your car fixed yet? I remember a discussion concerning your car exhaust. If it is leaking and entering your car, that would cause you problems!

Does anyone have allergies that could tell me if you ever get headaches as a result? I have been battling a headache for about a week now. On Saturday I thought it was a migraine because it came on stronger. Today I am still fighting it so a bit puzzled. A friend of mine said to me she thinks it could be allergies. Those of you that do get headaches, what do you take?
