What a nightmare. I purchased this 6 months ago and it started a fire in my kitchen. The fire department ruled it defective and it was very clear the fire started inside the unit. Sears did not send anyone out until 15 days after to look at the cooktop. They also have done nothing to help with repairs. I have to go thru my own homeowners insurance to get repairs done. My whole kitchen has to be redone and the only answer I get is it is a process and you are better off going thru your own insurance. Is Sears going to pay my higher premiums? Have they had to deal with the stress of trying to feed 3 kids without a cooktop. I have spent hours on the phone and have gotten no where. I would never buy a product from sears again. They put there name on the product, sell the product and do nothing when it burns my kitchen.

All Sears products are able to be warranty extended for its entire lifetime. I have had their products for 20 years now and it breaks or I break it and they fix or replace it and or anything else that I lose in its breakage. I love Sears and all their warranties! I feel sorry for those who believe the warranties are a waste of money. Spend the extra few hundred on the extended warranties as Sears will cover your back for the lifetime of your product if you keep up with your warranty. They even offer a free inspection every 6 months or a year just to ensure the product is in good shape!

Kenmore Pro and a Wok Ring

So I just bought the Kenmore Pro dual fuel range and am looking forward to it being delivered. Anyway in my wait, I found the manual online and discovered that the traditional wok ring should not be used with this stove. Instead, it says to use a flat bottom wok.. WHAT!?! that's not a wok! A wok needs to be round to work properly. Has anyone used a third party wok 'stand' with the Kenmore Pro? I found that Electrolux (the manufacturer of the stove) makes a wok stand, but I can't find a picture of it. Does this work? Ideally, I want to find a stand that securely sits on the grates so when the wok is repositioned, the stand stays put.

Any thoughts/experiences?

Duel Fuel means electric and gas cooking surfaces not gas and/or LP. Appliances can be changed from natural gas to LP gas by changing a simple part that normally comes with the appliance or can be purchased at a LP dealer.
