This is terrific news--so I assume it doesn't have the side venting if Bosch makes it. I already ordered with the bundle sale but will go back to see if they will change it because I did want everything to match. I wish the sales people in the store were more educated on the products because I kept saying I wanted it to match but didn't want that Kenmore Elite in the store because it was made by Whirlpool. Had no idea others made it. We will check it out. Thanks

If you haven't, look at the Kenmore Elite Dishwasher 02213953.

We're starting to close this product out because it is last year's model, but it IS a KElite Dishwasher that is manufactered by Bosch (as of 1/31, it is available for delivery next day!). Essentiall, it is a Bosch resurfaced to look like a Kenmore Elite :)

That'll help complete the set and keep all the handles / stainless steel matching!

Thank you both for your "opinions" guidance and honesty because that is what I am looking for. I have to say- I went and ordered all Kenmore elite products. Frige, induction range and microwave with convection feature. I did hesitate with the dishwasher and went with a Bosch instead of a Kenmore--because of the side ventilation feature on the Kenmore. Wouldn't moisture coming from the side eventually warp wood cabinets next to it???? My husband was not happy with that feature so we went with the Bosch which is self contained with a condenser, Any comments on side venting on dishwashers?? I can always go back and change my order.

RJF - I appreciate your advice and sent a PM thanking you for it.

Reliability is relative to who is testing it, but according to the certain leading consumer guide site, Hotpoint / GE / Whirlpool / Frigidaire / Kenmore have the lowest repair rates of any range. So I believe that point is valid, though I will admit that Samsung and LG were left unranked, and I simply am giving my advice through anecdotely evidence and independent research on my own time about those brands. There was a reason though I left my thoughts as 'My Opinion' instead of saying - These are the facts.

If I was 'Selling' these products to raz3mataz, it would be a different story where I would follow the selling guidelines and protocols, but I feel that being completely honest with my experiences and my opinions is the best option instead of coming across as a sterile and indifferent.

Here is a piece of advice for you Razzy, do not ever degrade any of the brands or products that you sell. Those brands are as reliable as any other brand, and what do you know about how they are manufactured? As a showroom employee you should advocate all brands are be able to distinguish the differences between them for your customer without showing bias. Does KE offer great value for the price paid, yes. This is because Kenmore partners with the manufacturer to work together to build a nice product with good advantages, and is able to offer them at a competitive price.

From my sales experience, if you want a matching set, Kenmore Elite is the best bet. You can do quite a bit more with product choices, and you're not stuck with anything that is really 'sub-par' as far as a product or manufacturer.

Everyone has their opinions, but my favorite fridges are either Samsung or LG (LG actually manufacturers the KElite Fridges, so them as well), but I love love Samsung because of the ingenuity and the styling. BUT BUT BUT I HATE selling Samsung and LG cooking appliances, because they aren't as reliable nor well manufactured as GE or Frigidaire/Electrolux (Frigidaire actually manufactures the KElite for these types). If you want to mix and match, by all means, but if you want the best quality out of a matching set, KElite will give it to you.

I love the look of the Kenmore Elite series for a new remodel of my kitchen. After I read all the negative comments, I am afraid to purchase for fear of them falling apart and lack of service from Sears. HAS ANYONE OUT THERE HAD GOOD EXPERIENCES WITH THESE PRODUCTS?? Usually you only hear when someone is not happy...before I make a huge mistake, can someone reply or recommend another? thank you

Sounds like he has bad english, says coils up the back, this is a static condenser. You need to post the model #, there is a fan in the freezer section that needs to run to circulate air through out the freezer and the fresh food part.

There should be by design a fan motor that cools the condenser and the compressor.find it and ensure to see that that it runs while the compressor runs. The advice to check for clogged condenser coils is also wise but we do not know if you have a static or dynamic condenser, and will not know that till we show up at your house and look at it.

I vacuumed out my own refrigerator condenser last week.I damn near filled 75% of a vacuum bag with dust, junk and funk. The increased performance of the refrigerator was,at this point anyway, notable.

1970's Flashback

Harvest gold!!! Wow that's truly 70s!!! I had harvest gold Kenmore appliances in a condo I bought back in the 70s when I was fresh out of college!!! Right now I have a Kenmore black side by side refrigerator/freezer with the water/ice dispenser and light on the outside of the freezer door. It came with the house when I bought it seven years ago and the kitchen was totally remodeled. I love it but I have some problems with the water line hose being really small in diameter and it made noises when dispensing so I disconnected it and turned the water line off to the refrigerator. I have to have it serviced at some point. The refrigerator is roomy, has a deli drawer, an egg container and lots of places to store things on the doors. The freezer is also roomy and has pull-out wire bins, door storage too. Never had any other problems with it. So check out the Kenmore line, I'm sure you'll find something you'll really like. Good Black Friday shopping to you!!!

If you can find this one on sale for $1,500.00 or less, it doesn't make a big noise, only a big splash, and won't make a big dent in your wallet either!
