If you choose to buy Kingsize Direct, please remember the sizes are very generous. I use them and it took me awhile to learn a size 4X is actually a 6X in other brands....the pants are the same...refunds are immediate and satisfactory as well. I do not understand WHY a big and tall mans department doesn't carry the XXXX large everything. People like us are forced to go online to find clothing that will fit. Good luck in your searching!

Inseam Lengths

What is wrong with the marketing people in retail clothing stores? I am 5'6" and have a 32" waist. I have the same problem all of you mentioned with pants.

I also have similar problems with shirts. I need a man's small size shirt, but I find the inventory to be extremely limited. I'm 66 now, and since my college days, my first choice for shopping for clothes in Houston has always been Foley's, which is now Macy's. I don't even shop in Macy's anymore for button up shirts because they rarely have anything decent in a small. After a couple of years wasting an hour or two every few months in Macy's looking for a nice looking dress shirt or button-up sport shirt in a small, I finally gave up and quit going there, period! I have problems in other stores finding anything I like in a small, but at times I do find a few. I can always find plenty of medium and large, and even extra large that I really like, but where are the small? I can only assume the marketing people are lazy idiots, otherwise they would know there is a good size market for clothes for smaller guys like me.

One final word on sizes, when I graduated from college, I needed to quickly buy several dress suits for my new job. I spent a week looking all over Houston for 3-4 suits but after a week looking every day in every store that sold men's suits, I hadn't found a single suit I would be caught dead wearing. I needed a "short" size suit and when I would ask the salesmen if they had any suits in my size (don't remember the size) & short, e.g. size 34 short, they would think for a while and say something like: I had a couple but we sold them several weeks ago, or "I think I might have one or two," and then if they did have one or two, they were usually too ugly to describe. I can only assume the marketing idiots have incorrectly assumed that since the marked for smaller guys is not as large as average size and large guys, that it is not worth their time to carry the smaller sizes. If you have a better explanation, I'd like to hear it.

I agree. 29" inseams are only available on-line for most stores. Then, when you get them they don't fit for other reasons, and you're faced with returning them. If you could try them on in a store, it would be much easier.

Gentlemen,

Try LandsEnd.com (online store for Men). You can choose your (pants) measurements when picking out the product before purchasing. The shortest inseam I've found is 26", and they also give you a choice of what type of hem you want for most pants. If they don't fit, you can return them at your nearest Sears store location for a refund with proof of purchase, or by mail if you live in a rural area. Give it try....

Hi there,
Glad to hear that your hubby loves the jacket. I adore flannel :)

If you would ever like to review something and can't find the item you can add it to the product catalog yourself. It's quick and easy. Here's how:

• Go to http://www.mysears.com/write
• Enter the item that you'd like to review in the text field and click the Search button.
• If you don't find your item in the list, scroll down to the bottom where it says "Didn't find what you were looking for?" and click on the link to add the product to the catalog.
• From there you can select which category it should be in and you can review it.

I hope that helps! If you have any questions along the way, let me know!

Inseam Lengths

I agree with all who commented about short sizes. I was in one large department store this past week and looked through over 150 pairs of jeans and couldn't find one my waist and inseam (29). My wife bought me a pair of jeans a few months ago with an inseam of 29, and from beggining at the crotch downward, they were twice as wide as I'd like them. Isn't anyone getting the message?

Trader Bay Shirts

Hey Adam, Vern and Kathy: Yeah, one of THE 2 BEST SHIRTS I ever had was a Traders Bay shirt from Sears I bought about 5 years ago (like Adam+Vern). It was a button down shirt that was yellow+black+white pastel palid type cotton shirt (very unusual) that was soft and a great fit and lasted forever (but alas, not quite). I would love to know where I can get another. Adam+Vern, you have great taste in shirts. Let me know if you find another one that you like, 'cause we have the same tastes. Next you'll tell me that you like high bulk, 100% acrylic socks, which are also disappearing off the face of the earth! JC Penny's used to sell them but they weren't there last time I looked.

100% Cotton, Long sleve, Buttondown Large

Original shirts purchased at least five years ago if not longer and they are still looking good enough to wear. But old father time is starting to show up so it is time to get some new ones. I don't like the thinness of the new shirts. These shirts have weight and warmth in them.

Thanks for you help

Vern
