Latest Inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

I went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 1996 as part of my 8th grade class trip. It was brand new at that time (the building not the hall of fame). I would love to go back since it's been 15 years since I have been there.

It's in Cleveland but I haven't been there yet. Ironically, they hold the induction ceremony in New York which ticks many Ohioans off.

I would have assumed Rush was already in the Hall of Fame! Totally shocked they are not!

Isn't the Hall of Fame in your town, cincy? Have you visited?

In my opinion, the Rock and Roll HOF is a joke. Members are inducted based on critical acclaim vs. popular vote. Rush's first album, "Rush", was released in 1974, so they certainly fit the 25 year bill and they absolutely have the popular vote. I can't remember when, but Rush was inducted into the Canidian Rock and Roll HOF. I think the trio could care less about it to be honest. Plus, on top of that, Rush has a unique genre of music. I think that is one of the problems. How do you classify thier music. I think the HOF should come up with another category and simply call it "Great". Thay way Rush would be a shoe in! I do however like this years group.

Rush is a good call cincybeth but I can only remember listening to one of their cds. I do love who is on the list above though esp Guns N Roses and Chili Peppers!!

This brings me to my question: Why isn't Rush in the Rock and Roll HOF?
