let them move into your room, and it will take years to get them into their own. They won't be able to sleep with out you in the room.

Set up an air mattress in the baby's room so all you have to do is have ONE of you roll out to feed/change the baby.

Saw the neatest thing on the show Shark Tank, a playpen slipcover that lines any collapsible playyard.

Oh... That WAS a hard lesson.

I gave my nephew a cordless drill.

He was around 8.

My sister-in-law just stared at me.

"What... You don't have to give him the drill or screwdriver bits, till later."

That is GREAT!!!!! My boy is in for it very soon (going on 2). I let him play with some wrenches and ratchets. No Screw driver's, daddy learned that the hard way, pulling out a flathead screw driver from lodged in Momma's front grill from her car!!!!!

Naa...

You can buy tools for THEM.

And, then...

Drag'm (through gentle encouragements and bribing) into the workshop to learn how to use their tools.

Or, take'm to the Art store to buy craft supplies and drawing/painting tools.

My daughter still shakes-a-little when anyone mentions "the Pencil isle".

"Look sweaty - Solid Graphite pencils! Would you like a set, too?"

I found this one out the hard way: Pink - means girl. Light Blue means boy. And, red with a train ALSO means boy - "Adam you idiot".

That didn't go over well for my daughter.
