You would have to purchase exhaust tubing yourself because Sears doesnt know how long your exhaust will have to be.

Be sure to only purchase rigid aluminum tubing or at worst, the metallized flex tubing. The white vinyl tubing is only for bathroom fans and is not allowed for use with dryers.

This will all be explained in your instruction book.

will one hand press the lever for the door switch closed so the Dryer will run with the door open, look in the upper left inside the drum you will see air holes where the heat enters the drum. You will see the red glow from the heat element in about a minute if the element is working. If there is heat then the vent is plugged somewhere between the Dryer and the outside opening.

Please help...our kenmore electric dryer 80 series model #66812690 worked like a charm unitl last week...now it takes 3 hours to dry a load. We clean the lint screen before each load. Realised there is a small hole in the lint screen and it does not seem to be collecting lint as before. Is the lint blocking the heat vent? Do I just replace the lint screen and where do I get this? Do I have a bigger problem on my hands? This is an old dryer, but I do not want to buy a new dryer if I do not have to. Thanks for your help.

I've made the mistake of throwing away the foam shipping base that is used for the bottom of the washer known as the " Sound Shield ". I was thinking of getting some styrafoam, but when I saw the instruction sheet on how it was to be installed, the words "this side down" was printed on it. So maybe it's not just styrafoam. I've chatted with the Whirlpool people, with no luck. Any ideas????

I just bought front load Kenmore w/d and pedestels. I don't have them yet, but I just heard that if you are using a Pedestel it HAS to be on concrete or it will shake, vibrate, move around on the surface and be noisy. Is this true? It is going in my basement on concrete, but I was going to put down cork flooring so the floor is warmer etc.. Should I put it on the concrete and put the cork around it, or just mount it on my cork flooring?

Please help me.. they are getting delivered in a week and I need to resolve this and get the room ready beforehand. Thanks in Calgary.

When you say "find," do you mean locate in the machine, or do you mean acquire? If you mean acquire, you can enter the dryer's manufacturer model number into the search box at searspartsdirect.com and all the parts will be available there. As for replacing it, that's a good question. I'm not a technician, but I can't imagine changing a fuse would be the most complicated part of dryer repair. :)
