Do have a look at the "Ackfeld Textured Silver Fabric Door Hanger 16''-Believe" not sure if this matches your preference, however, the 'Believe' door hanger will surely contribute in making the rest of the walls 'believe' in everything else.

There may still be time for someone to help out - wishuponahero.com is a website where people can post wishes and other people offer to grant them in some way. Every year people post they wish for help with christmas and many people get the help from caring people in their community. I think the only problem is they now make you provide info to prove who you are before you can post a wish (to help keep it secure so people are less likely to get scammed). I hope that helps.

I was in the same situation when my kids were small and charities as well as just the elementary school always helped me out without me even asking. Now fast forward 20 years and now my daughter is in the same situation with 2 kids.

She got very resourceful the other day and posted on Craigslist that she needed help with clothing for her children. She had several people contact her with offers of clothing for them both and also they are contacting thier churches to try and find warm clothing for her too.

I noticed last year in the area that I live in, there were many, MANY people posting that they were willing to help out famlies in need on Craigslist. Please check out this awesome resource, but please be careful too. Always set up meetings in public places, maybe even a police or fire department parking lot. There are many real people that want to help but there are bad people out there too. You just have to be aware and prepaired.

May God bless you with your finances 10 fold!!!

In addition to what everyone else has said, the father of your kids has a legal responsibility ot be financially responsible, so you need to go through your local government to make sure that he is. If you can afford a couple dollars, I'd say that going to the Dollar Tree might be your best bet for Christmas. If you have access to a computer, which you clearly do, start searching for help--another good one for food is the Angel Food Network if you have one nearby. There are all kinds of things out there to help, you just need to start googling.

There were rough spots when our children were young, and I believe it is very important to sit down with them and explain the situation. Don't make excuses, don't make up any stories, just tell it like it is. It is surprising how understanding even a small child can be.

And, as has been mentioned, check out various charities and organizations for possible assistance.

Hi sccarolina woman, thanks for using MySears. You have to continue to raise your children the best you can. The most important gifts you give them don't cost money. This is not the first generation of Americans to go through a national economic disaster and those people did remarkably well. Maybe 2010 was a lousy year for you and millions of others but there is better times ahead. Enjoy your children now, they'll be grown before you know it and you'll be back to work... maybe 2 jobs.

I'm so sorry you're having such a rough patch in your life. If you don't have a job and have children, there is a good chance you may qualify for some government aid while you get back on your feet. I know you might feel bad about it, but that's part of what those programs are for. Also, you can always try to go to court to get child support from your children's father.

As far as Christmas, looking into programs like Toys for Tots is what I was also thinking of. If you have any money saved toward it, I would try to do a lot of my shopping on days like black friday... as much as the rush stinks, there are some amazing deals if you can get to them. Also, consignment sales/shops are a great way to find some quality kids things cheap!

Good luck!

size chart

In this economy I refuse to gamble on if something will fit. All brands size differently and for Sears not to have a size chart is ridiculous. I'm sure another retailer with a size chat will gladly take my money.

Sears if you really want clothing sales on-line add size charts otherwise remove the clothing option. It is a waste of space, and a consumers time.

O.O I know there are foundations out there where people who are better off can buy toys and donate them to the foundation to give out to people who need the toys. The only one I can think of offhand though is Toys for Tots and I'm honestly not sure if that's just to toddler toys or not. XD I don't have kids of my own yet and honestly, if I did, my grandma would probably just buy gifts for the kids and let me put my name on some of them. That's what she did for my mom when I was little and that's what she does now for my cousin and aunt. :P

I'd say if you can try doing some research into some of those programs that help out families in need with Christmas toys. :)

Otherwise maybe do something that's cheaper like taking them to a roller rink or something for a day. My dad and step-mom suggested that for my little half-sisters... it only costs about $4-6 per person so it's a pretty cheap alternative and it can provide hours of fun for the children. Though that also depends on how many kids you have and what their ages are and if they're even interested in such things.

I know as a younger kid it's hard to understand that Christmas is supposed to be more about family than the gifts and there's so much pressure to buy gifts that pretty much the spirit of family around Christmas time has been lost. :( There shouldn't really be problems like this where if you can't afford them you have to worry because then the kids will be really disappointed.

If you have any Goodwills by you maybe try them as well depending on their age and gender. When I was a little girl my grandma would take me there and get me lots of costume jewelry to play with.. She'd also get teacup sets and we'd have tea parties together with them hehe.
