Nextec Batteries are JUNK

I have two tools - the original multi tool and the original hammer. The batteries to both tools charged about 10 times each before quitting. I've had 4 batteries and only one still works and I'm not keeping my fingers crossed that it will last. These tools were gifts so no extended warranties. Any suggestions?

Power tools, and any Craftsman tools that require a power source other than your hand (i.e. an electric cord and motor) have a 1 year exchange warranty in-store with the original receipt. At the time of purchase, you also have the option to extend your coverage to three years by purchasing a Sears Purchase Protect plan.

Power tools do not fall under the lifetime hand tool warranty.

craftsman 19.2v drill battery(part no: 130235030) won't charge

i have a 19.2 volt craftsman drill/working light combo, right now, the battery(part no: 130235030, it is a ni-cad battery) will not get charged when i plug it to charger. the batteries have red light on from charger, but it just stay there, even after 8-10 hours, it still have red light, when i unplug it and connect this battery to device, it just last less than one minutes, then, it goes to dead. and on the battery, it indicates that only need one hour to get charged.

i double checked the charger, it indicates compatable with the battery.

are these battery dead? i just have this tools for a few months.

is there other way to save the batteries?

Missing Lithium Ion batteries and charger

I was just ready to order the new 4 position multi chemistry 19.2 volt charger and a couple of 19.2 volt compact size li-ion batteries. I can no longer find these items in the online catalog. WHATS UP WITH THIS??

Another thought... what about custom-fitted peg-board hooks for each of the tools in the C3 line? Right now I'm just fitting together regular pegs till I find positions that hold my tools. Theï»¿ only thing I've found is the drill holder, which doesn't really fit my C3 drill, but its better than nothing.

Another thing that could be useful in the Lawn & Garden line is a hand held Seed/Fertilizer/Salt spreader.

I'd just like to be able to get my craftsman tools in the color scheme of the Kawasaki brand tools. That black & green color scheme is sweet.

I'd also like to see a small nail-gun offered, and the paint sprayer brought back.

I agree with someone above that it would be nice to have an A/C adaptor to be able to run them on A/C power while you have the battery charging. Something with a very stong cord that's build to last.. Should not be that hard for them to back a 120VAC to 19.2 volt cord..

I would love to see a C3 hedge trimmer with a shorter blade. I have a corded 17 in. one now, and I find that one too long, so the current 22 in. blade is just way too long. I'd like to see one with a 12 in. blade. Or better yet, go crazy and make one with interchangable blades.

It isn't clear what you mean by "all these". Were you looking at a particular web page when you posted this?

Don't confuse "impact wrench" with "impact driver". There are many fewer models of "impact wrenches" than "impact drivers".

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm looking at impact wrenches for the hubby for xmas. Has to be around the 18 to 20 volt size and cordless. What the heck is the difference in all these? There can be the same brand and size but way different prices.

I was planning on replacing my 19.2 NiCad batteries with the Li-on batteries when they become defective. I know I also would need the charger for the Li-on batteries. I was told that the Li-on batteries would be the way to go, but after reading some of the comments,it looks like I would be better off to stay with the NiCad batteries.
