Buying a new portable dishwasher

I am buying my first dishwasher and I think I am going to go with a portable one. Does anyone have suggestions? I have been lookign at the Whirlpool #DP840SWSX and Whirlpool #DP940PWSQ. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

We had to purchase an new moen but it is the ugliest thing you ever did see, but it leaks now and I can't sue the sink or the dishwasher till it is fid... uggg this is a nitemare. I went to purchase the american standard and I was told that they were not great, but none of them are lol.

Hi Manda -

I have the same issue with a Moen kitchen faucet. The faucet model I have is an Extensa. I contacted Moen, and they told me that they do not recommend using a portable dishwasher with their faucet and do not make an adapter. I have tried every type of adapter I've found (4 so far), but the threads on the Moen faucet are too far inside of the faucet to properly connect a dishwasher adapter or extension washers. For now, we use our dishwasher in the bathroom, but I suspect a new American Standard faucet is in my future.

What Moen faucet do you have?There are some models that cannot be used with a portable dishwasher.But the majority by far use the adapter that comes in the box with the dishwasher.

If you have the pull-out type spout,dont bother looking any farther.There is no way to make them compatible with any dishwasher (not just Sears).Best bet would be to change to an inexpensive regular-type spout faucet.

Santa bought mommy her first dishwasher, portable but I dont care never had one before, problem is it does not hook up to our sink and can not find a part that will hook up to our moen faucet.

So right now the dishwasher is being used as a shelf. Not my first choice but no one seems to be able to help me.
