What's the best printer for windows 7. I have a older printer 5400 series but each time I, try to install it is looking for a driver. My laptop is a HP Windows 7.

If all you are looking for is the price of ink per page, find a printer that has cartridges that are easily refilled. Refilled ink will most always cost less.

On the other hand, if you are looking to print photo quality pictures on say a 4x6, then I would stick with brand name ink. Meaning, if you decide to go with HP (which I currently use and am happy with, but it is a bit more expensive), stick with HP ink. If you go with kodak, stick with kodak ink.

One last note, if you really want to have the cheapest ink per page, you will have to look into laser printers. You will have a larger up front cost, but in the long run, it will be cheaper.

it also depends on what u planning on doing with the printer , i heard for pics and stuff kodaks are doing pretty good , if just simple stuff ill go with a Lexmark or hp which some can be reloaded ( ink )
