Hi Cdon509, there is a decal under the hood that lists attachments. The 24839 snowthrower will fit your 27224 model Craftsman tractor if all the parts are there, assembly procedures and parts vary by tractor model. You can see the assembly manual for the snowthrower at Sears ManageMyLife.com too. Good luck.

Hi cdon569;

The following web address is "Manage My Life" where a Sears expert will answer your question within 48 hours. Copy and paste web address to your upper address bar, and click the go button. Enter your question including complete model numbers in the search box, and click "Ask The Experts". You will most likely need to sign up for free with Manage My Life, but you can also search past question / answer discussions, and download manuals, etc.

At only $2.92, that would be a good part to stock up on, before it goes dark during a dark/stormy "throwing" session.

Maybe a couple bulbs to lesson the impact of the cost of shipping?

Where have you seen wheel weights for a snowthrower? Tirechains.com has 2 or 4 link-spaced snowthrower chains but Sears offers chains for tractors, and rear tires only. Wouldn't it make more sense to add a sandbag to the top of the auger housing, like you would with a snowcab?

I have a dependable Craftsman snow blower, which starts every time when I need it to...as long as I run it DRY previous Spring..I live near Lake Michigan and the snow is often times wet...I am thinking of getting chains for added traction, but I see that wheel weights are also available..

What to use for added traction ????
