where are the tags???

I have always preferred shopping at Kmart for toys for birthdays and christmas. but this past year when doing my christmas layaway i had the hardest time finding price tags. No price sticker, no price on product label and when i went to check the label on the shelf it would'nt be the right label. And its not like i just picked up a misplaced item i'm talking 30 barbie dolls with no price stickers and a shelf label for angry birds. no joke-real example. This happens throughout out entire store. Does any other store have this problem?

so many mahalo's for your helpful hints. I thought my husband was going to throw it off the cliff. I did get the fireplace to work, smaller fingers. And.. I called Mattel and they said they would send out a replacement for the tiki lights and the dresser after its off back order. thanks again for your help/info. now if i can only get her to stoping saying wanna play baries w/ me mum every 3 minutes. again, mahalo and mele kalikimaka to you and your ohana~ jena

Hey meandmonkey~ I hope this helps..... HOW TO FIX THE FIREPLACE... The Townhouses have ONE FLAW: the fireplace is not hooked up completely, resulting in no sound or lights. The button on the front of the fireplace will activate the lights, the crackling and release the t.v. to go up. THIS IS WHAT YOU DO: If the fireplace can lean forward and you can fit your finger behind to press the button to activate the lights/crackling, then, it is off the hooks (2 in back). Get a flashlight, see where the two hooks are behind it? Gently, try to manuever the fireplace back onto the hooks by pushing the BACK side of the house with your left hand, and pushing the fireplace up and against the wall with your right. It may take a few tries, but eventually, it WILL CLICK COMPLETELY INTO PLACE. Then the button will work. Also, if the chandelier doesn't work properly, gently take it out and, using a flashlight, line up the prongs in the ceiling with the prongs in the chandelier, and replace. It can be perfect, just make sure things are lined up. It sits nicely next to our old Dream House

aloha, i was reading here awhile ago about the BARBIE 3 STORY DREAM HOUSE~

it said that *behind the fireplace there was a button that would make it crackle and turn on, but you had to have small fingers.

and it had several other tips about the barbie dream house and the way to avoid pulling your hair out.

If anyone finds thiese can you let me know or email me cause im having a heck of a time trying to find em'/ many thank you's~ and...mele kalikimaka to you & your ohana.

It shows up in your individual review. I think you may be talking about this one you wrote, for the PaperJamz. (My kids LOVE theirs, too!).

I remember as a child my brother and I had a blue pedal car, an orange pedal go cart and a red pedal tractor with "spark plug wires" .My folks saved S&H green stamps (something else only Baby boomers know about) all year so that Santa would have them under the tree.

My nephew absolutely adores his LEGOs as well. He gets a giant LEGO something every year for Christmas and that keeps him busy for hours. I have no idea where he gets the patience to sit there for hours putting all those tiny pieces together.

I'm also a big fan of board games. I still get together a few times a year for game night with a few of my best friends. We literally play all night. My brother is the same way. We have a game called Dark Tower that we played all the time in the 80s. We played it when I went home for the holidays though and it was total drudgery. I couldn't wait for that game to end!

Such a tough call, autorep84, but great thread!

My boys have had HOURS of enjoyment with their legos, that is for sure. Maybe one of the greatest combinations ever (in the mind of a 5 and 8 year old) would be Star Wars + Legos.

I love playing board games with them, too: Yahtzee, Monopoly, and Sorry are still super fun.

The Red Rider BB gun just reminds me of the movie "A Christmas Story". That is great that you actually owned one!

There really are alot of good toys on the market today. Barbie by Mattel has to be one of the #1 for kids. I loved my Barbie's, my daughter loved her Barbie's .So many different type of dolls and clothes and doll houses and the list goes on. My favorite saying is I want to be just like Barbie....she has everything!!

For me it would probably be HotWheels and Legos. My mom bought me this big tub of Lego's once that I kid you not had like 6,000 peices in it. I litterly built a whole city out of this tub of legos. For hotwheels, I think between me and my brother we had probably around 200 cars and trucks and sort. Hours of fun right there, especially when you combined our huge sand box we had in the backyard!

Here2help and I were discussing toys/games and it made me wonder....what's your favorite games? Videogames, boardgames, dolls, Legos, playing wih a big rock and a stick....what did/do love to play with??

Personally, my most beloved toy was a Red Rider lever action BB gun my dad bought me when I was just a wee one. Growing up on a farm I used to take that thing everywhere!! Made my own lanyard out of a riding rein and strapped it to my back and off I went. Now that I've grown up my 'toy' collecton has grown quite a lot and I still love going hunting/fishing for days at a time with them.
