That is AWESOME, cnyram-both on the set up and the points. All points expire at the end of the calendar quarter following the 1 year anniversary of the date the points were earned. So, your points will expire on Dec. 31st, 2012. Plenty of time to use them!

Hi cnyram, Sears Delivery Service assembles treadmills for free in many areas and will haul an old one away. Assembly is a little tricky on some of the NT models that are shipped in a negative incline position and worth the delivery cost. Your local store should be able to tell you if assembly is included in your area. Which model are you considering?

Thanks for your help! It is unfortunate that folks with negative experiences are more likely to post on the net. It's funny to read some reviews and find out they are complaining about a completely different model than where it is posted! To bad we cannot get data of # of units sold vs. # of legit issues, I'm sure it's a small fraction. I've owned other NT equipment and found it to be a good value. Hope to pick up my treadmill this week and will post a review after a few weeks of ownership.

Hi Cnyram, ya sorry about that I wasnt for sure if you were getting it from online or through a store. Ya, if you get it from a physical store, then yes you can return it there. But if you get it from Sears.com, you must return it through us by the way above. I wouldn't really worry about the small percentage of issues you have heard, we still sell tons of excercise equipment daily through Sears.com and hardly hear anything bad, just once in a blue moon. If you have any problems with the treadmill, we will come and pick it up for you for free. Can't go wrong with that. Hope this helps!

Getting conflicting information, the online chat person says I can return to the store myself. Any further opinions out there? Good sale going on this week!

I'm thinking allot of the negative info out there is from a small percentage of sales.

My concern is that Nordictrack is well known for poor service (even with their extended warranties) and I do not want to be at their mercy if I have a problem with it within 90 days.. I want to be able to box it back up and bring it back to the store I bought it from without hassle from NT, or even their approval. With such a large and expensive purchase, I was hoping to have the security of knowing sears will accept it back within 90 days if I have a problem. I have read many stories about waiting months for a missing part on new NT machines, I don't want to spend $1000 and find out something is wrong when I put it together and be stuck waiting on NT, that is not right.

Hi Cnyram, if you purchase a Nordic Track, you must contact us and we would need to contact Nordic Track on your behalf to have them ( Nordic Track) come and pick it up for you within 90 days. If it is any other brand, then yes you can return it to any Sears store at your convenience for a full refund. So Treadmills do qualify under the 90 day return policy, how to return it is going to vary on which brand you choose. Hope this helps and have a great evening!

Hi Sal, thanks for using MySears. Nearly half of the 38 reviews are 5 Stars, 4 users gave it the lowest rating but they either got bad units or were underpowered, it requires a standard 15 Amp outlet. The belt is 55"x20", short but not too short. The motor is 2.5 HP, small but adequate. It has the IFit expansion capability but the 16 built-in programs are well-designed. The Nordictrack A2550 is a reliable value at $750. This week, Sears offers free delivery and assembly on this model too, plus an additional 5% discount for using a Sears Card or 12 months interest-free financing. And the SYW Reward points can be immediately spent on a Nordictrack floor mat.

I recently purchased new athletic shoes and they are very slippery on my treadmill belt. If I stand on the belt when the machine is not running, my feet slide like I am wearing socks on a hardwood floor. When the treadmill is on I can barely keep up with it because I keep sliding backwards. I bought a second pair of new athletic shoes and they do the same thing! My old sneakers have great traction. I am not quite sure what to do...any suggestions?
