Within 8 hours of posting my comment on September 2, 2010, SEARS REMOVED THE PICTURES IN QUESTION. These 2 pictures were of a woman with her top off. They were not paintings. They were real photos/pictures and they were close up. They are not there anymore. Again, we STUMBLED across these pictures by just looking at wall art. I DID NOT type in any obscene key words. And, I have the right to boycott Sears if I choose. This is America! Sometimes you have to boycott to stand up for what's right. Are we all supposed to just watch this country go down the drain and not care because someone is going to loose a few bucks? I don't know about you, but my integrity and honor come way before any amount of money that you could ever give me. And, I am sure that most Sears stockholders were not even aware that Sears had anything even remotely close to this material for sell on their website or they wouldn't have bought their stock. If Sears promotes it's stores as family oriented then they have an obligation to uphold those morals and values on their website as well. I don't care that you have to be 18 to purchase online. That doesn't matter! I trust Sears to be a safe place to shop WITH my children when I pull up their website. And, now they are. I am very glad that Sears listened to it's customers and removed the pictures in question. I will no longer be boycotting Sears. THANK YOU SEARS FOR BEING THE FAMILY STORE THAT WE ALWAYS KNEW YOU TO BE.

They aren't saying the words themselves are vulgar... I don't think... Maybe I can't narrow my mind enough to see from that particular point of view. I think they're taking issue with the 1920's looking photograph poster of two women, who from what I could tell at the level of zoom available to me, were not engaged in any pornographic, or even sexual behavior. And trust me, Miss Texas "Everything's bigger here, (with the exception of IQ scores) Tess" I searched "Lesbian poster" just like you said (something a child would never go to SEARS to search for.

It really bothers me that people will boycott an entire corporation because of one or two products. Because they sell posters online that you don't like, you will take your business elsewhere, punishing hundreds, maybe even thousands of people who have no say in the stock or what Sears sells online.

If you want them to stop selling the posters.... Don't buy the posters. spread the word, not to buy the evil 1920's "lesbian porn" poster. Supply and demand, you idiots. If you kill the demand, they will nix the supply.

I really hate having to think for other people, but there you go... Now, if you go ahead and focus on breathing real hard, I'll see what I can do about your basic parenting skills that your children are cruising department store websites for a nudie fix.

I tried to type it into the search engine, and came up with nothing...obviously they've done away with this search. I completely agree with those who are saying that if your kids are searching "lesbian posters", then it's not the first time or the first sight they've done it on. They apparently need closer supervision.

Or the kids could have been innocently browsing all the posters and stumbled across the posters in question. No one said the kids are searching for "lesbian posters." That just happens to be the easiest way to find these posters and doesn't mean they can't be found some other way.

If you want to boycott, fine. But, you don't have to spam whilst doing it. Write a letter or e-mail to the company explaining what you're doing and why. Then, follow through. That is what a boycott is, and that's how a boycott works.

As someone who has worked in the retail field as both a floor employee and management, your behavior towards current and potential Sears customers is appalling. I seriously doubt you would act this way on the job and you are just a coward hiding behind the anonymity offered here.

Sears sells tens of thousands of posters and these were not easy to find just through an innocent search. It's likely that someone happened to stumble upon one of these posters and noticed the keywords it was filed under, which led to the "obscene search words" you refer to. Or someone's child or teen had accessed these images and the parents found out about it. In any case, Sears promotes itself as a family-friendly business. These posters do not back up that promotion and if Sears does not remove them, they will be proving that they are lying.

Frankly people are blind. They see nothing wrong with porn because they love sin. Jesus died to give us power to overcome the power of lust and go to heaven, but most people out there don't want to think about that..they'd rather go ahead and swim in the sewer. Unfortunately this path leads to hell. It is especially sad when people like this want to drag others to hell with them. They love it when a child gets exposed to porn for the first time..what a tragedy when that child later becomes a serial rapist because of porn.

I looked on Walmart and JC Penneys sites and didn't find nude posters. Sears can forget getting any of my $.

It's amazing to me that all of you "open minded" folks out there can't stand the thought of a FREE AMERICAN citizen choosing to boycott. If you don't want to boycott Sears please don't, but if another citizen of this FREE country chooses to do so and expresses their FREE opinion please back off and realize that your "open mind" just slammed shut when you tried to prohibit or chastised someone with an opinion that is different than yours.

Great to know that Sears has always been an 18+ website, Your policy on how Sears handles privacy of information gathered from children under the age of 13 is out dated then. And, since it is a site for adults, how is it monitored? I can't post porn on this discussion but Sears is selling it and my children can easily view it - I think consumers have the right to know so that they can make an intelligent decision. If you dont believe me, read my ealier post and description of "posters" I found in 2 mouse clicks - and that was only the 1st 24 that were shown.

SAY WHAT??? These posts people are making are based on there being NUDE PICTURES onn the website. I visited Targets site and that is a nude CHILD. How can you dismiss the PICTURE OF THE NUDE CHILD. READ THESE POSTS and see that the protesters have their pants in a wad because they do not want their children to go online and see pictures of NUDE ADULTS and you think it would be OK for a child to go online and see a photo of a nude CHILD just because it is some guy writing about his life???. How about some of the posters who are offended about the "porn" pictures of adults, chimiing in on this photo of a nude child? Would you have any problems with your young child looking at the picture in the Target ads??

The Sears website has *always* been 18+

Dont blame Sears for your lack of parental supervisory.

No one ever complained that Sears sold tools that are hazardous if operated by children.
