Lockedmy macintosh can't read your site, so I move to lowes

Your javascript and website activities are centered around Windows 98 or XP using Windows 6. This is not an industry standard and turns off and excludes thousands of Macintosh and other computer users a day. No more from this site until you adopt standards.

I strongly recommend firing you webmasters and finding a team that actually know how to write to web standards. I wanted to order a drill, but the javascript returned an unreadable quote.

We have a Mac and sears.com and its related sites all work as well on it as on any other computer. My guess is it's your computer, and not the website.

thanks for your response. I think it's javascript. what javascript version do you publish?

I have no idea. I'm not a sears.com IT pro or webmaster. I'm just a guy from a store. :)

Exactly why you should not comment. Hey, we're both guys, but I need a real answer from an IT Geek, OK?

Very glad to hear it, but if I were running a 15 +year old system, I would also expect compatibility  with 15 year old * IE and Javascript

Let us all know how the Lowes site works out for you.

Wow, thanks for the rudeness. You said explicitly that by virtue of your computer being a Mac, the Sears sites would not work properly. Two people have since shown this to be incorrect. I don't need to know which Javascript version they're using to know that I'm using a Mac, and that he's using a Mac, and that you're using a Mac. And I don't need to know which version of js is being used to know that if one person claims Macs can't parse sears.com and two Macs CAN parse it, that the claim is not correct, and that there is some other incompatibility going on. You asked me a question to which I didn't know the answer. I didn't proffer a solution, I proffered an alternative. But, if snarkiness is your raison d'etre, don't let me get in your way.

Hi webman-Welcome to MySears.  If you are having issues with Sears.com, here is a link with their webmaster information.  Please let them know-they are always looking for feedback from users:

I think people just start threads like this to wait for a sears employee to answer and then pounce on them.  So rude and unnecessary! At least Blue took time out to attempt to help you even though your original post was just to complain.

If you are running a 15 year old computer system, YOU do not have equipment capable of performing to "standards.

Xhtml and XML weren't around... 15 years ago.

And, Flash 10 on a 15 year old system?

I don't think so.

You've come off as rude yourself at times. Nobody is perfect. Oh, you were talking about being a frequent poster. Yeah.
